Keeping Things In "The Middle" w/Braydyn Bear-Lents

This is episode #4 of the Cinderella Slippers Podcast featuring Braydyn Bear-Lents where we talk about the world of college basketball's biggest Cinderella storybooks that no one is talking about. From D1-D3 and through the NJCAA and NAIA Conference, we will discuss about the heart of what makes college basketball, college basketball in men's and women's sports and beyond.

We're BAAAAACCCK! Did you miss us because we missed you! College basketball is back and better than ever! We preview the division II and III men's basketball schedules for week #1 along with some men's upsets and cinderella picks to finish out the season. Part II is seperate as that was created later due to me being sick. That will be uploaded soon, but for now here is the first part of our episode.

WE ALSO HAVE A NEWSLETTER where we write about everything college basketball as long as school is not a problem, which is avaliable on LinkedIn and on SubStack (link coming soon) by clicking this link here: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/7124894515567497218/

Today's episode is a special one. On November 1, 2023, Robert Montgomery Knight passed away at the age of 83. Knight was the head coach for the Indiana Hoosiers from 1972 to his firing in 2000. He as we know won three national titles, was a 20-time Big Ten Champion, and won the 1984 Olympics with Team USA amongst his other notable accomplishments. He also coached at Army at West Point and at Texas Tech. This death has now changed the course of the college basketball season, and this special is about him.

At the end of this episode, I will share a family story from 1975 when my uncle got Knight's car out of the water in Alfordsville after a night drinking. All told and more on this special podcast.

Bears & Folks is a brand new storytelling based podcast where I interview someone randomly and ask them questions, but since this is the first episode, I hope to have more interactions with people on social media about life, work, and study as I give insight and analysis on the subject at large. This is a groundbreaking podcast run by myself and I ask people you have never heard of to get a chance to tell their stories, and talk about world issues and the greater issues that affect our areas across the U.S. at large.
