Well, there was actually a podcast I was listening to there, from no one else, or no one other than Gary Vaynerchuk.

If you don’t know Gary Vaynerchuk, yeah, he’s a great lad.

He’s done a whole pile of, he’s one of the trail-blazers I suppose for YouTube and video marketing.

And he’s gone on to do great things socially and he’s one of those people held up as the entrepreneur’s entrepreneur.

But, oh, he’s got me angry.

Slightly angry today.

 

He Just Doesn’t Get Us

 

Because he was going on about his entrepreneurs and hustling and everything, and the more he went on about it today, I don’t know why today of all days, but I suddenly twigged.

He actually doesn’t get us.

He doesn’t get us at all.

He doesn’t get me and you at all, at all, at all.

And today he was going on about hustling, and how it’s so important to hustle.

Yeah, so this is quite an important episode if you’re looking to scale your business and you’ve got the idea, and you want to get up and running, and you want to get an income quickly, and fast, and big.

One of the most important things about scaling, yeah, if you’ve ever been in this situation is that if there’s only one you, or there’s only a few little small yous, it’s very difficult to get a lot of stuff done.

And basically, that’s where most people trip up, is they actually try to get everything done by themselves, which is great because most people only have themselves, but the problem is that if you actually want to get a decent income and actually get your business out of the starting blocks, you’ve got to very quickly realise that you need other people involved.

For most startups, getting sort of new permanent employees is not an option.

However, there’s a huge resource available to you in the form of part-time and virtual assistants and experts out there that you can actually hire essentially by the hour, by the day, even by the minute, by the job.

And they’re all available to you.

And the handiest place to look for them is, there’s two great sites that I always sort of ...

I absolutely love getting butterflies in my stomach because it means that I’m growing.  However, it doesn’t mean I don’t have a wobble every now and then ;-)

Hey, afternoon, this is a very exciting edition, because this is the first EVER podcast from my wife’s car!

What a great day.

This car is cleaner than mine.

It smells better than mine.

It’s got fewer miles than mine.

This is brilliant.

My wife, we swapped cars this morning, I don’t know what was up with her.

She somehow trusted me this morning and allowed me to take her precious little baby.

So, as you can see, I’m on video, so I can’t do anything stupid with the car, at least while the video’s on.

So I’ll drive very carefully and very responsibly.

But I did something today that yeah, was quite interesting and surprised me a little bit.

But actually it reminded me exactly why being an entrepreneur is so cool.

It’s so cool every single day.

But at the time, I didn’t think it was so cool.

But I’ve realised why I felt that way.

So, in chatting to a client, she’s got a team of 11 people, and basically she was saying that actually her team isn’t up to full strength yet, as in they’re still in training and still not there, and it’s going to take between 6 and 9 months for them to be fully operational.

And going, ” Oh okay, that’s great and what are you doing?”

Well, she had a look at training, but the training to quote her, “was very expensive.”

And she started telling me so, what about it, she said “Yeah, it’s a specialised training and the instructor charges per day, per delegate.”

Let’s face reality. We only have one life. We’re not going to live it again.

Hey morning and welcome to the post-hospital edition of 7-Figure Business Secrets!

Yeah, that’s me just being really dramatic.

Actually it’s a post hospital, it’s just a blood test.

Just had to go in for bloods this morning to make sure my kidney stones don’t come back, you don’t want to have kidney stones.

If you’ve ever had kidney stones before, yeah, they’re pretty sore all right.

I had an ongoing episode for four or five years where I was a super kidney stone producer, how cool is that?

If you could sell them that would have been great but, not so great for the pain side but, yeah, thankfully put on a new treatment about three or four months ago, doctor sort of figured stuff out, what was going on with me, a whole pile of genetic things and, yeah so, since then, kidney stone free which is all great.

But, that’s not really what I want to talk to you about.

As usual, I always start off with stuff I don’t want to talk to you about.

 

Tiny Little Impact

 

But anyway, this is what I do want to talk to you about, pretty important thing and it’s something that’s been going around in my brain for a few different reasons but it’s all around, the idea is are you making the world more positive or, are you making the world more negative?

And, originally I used to think about this in terms of how I dealt with people so, you know me, I’m normally pretty smiley,

Setting up a business means you’ve got to get a LOT of things done.  Here’s the system I use to keep me on track.

How To Shoot Videos And Podcasts

 

Shot, wow, 15 videos for the up-and-coming membership area that I’m doing, so that was a lot of fun.

That was almost eight hours with my videographer in front of a camera getting very hoarse by the end of the day, but really cool.

Yeah, you probably know my videos, the normal style is standing up in front and writing as I go, but this one, yeah this one’s quite cool.

Actually a big, big massive whiteboard and positioned in front of various big windows, like floor-to-glass ceiling windows.

So that was quite fun, playing around with the lighting to get all that to work.

That was very good.

But yeah actually, I’ll do a whole episode on shooting videos because there is a bit of an art to it.

And whatever business you’re in, yeah, there’s always room for videos.

 

It’s frightening how much time we can waste thinking about doing something and never actually getting around to doing it.

It’s actually quite interesting just to watch the conversation going.

Just wanted to share my observations with you about what it actually takes for someone to sort of be successful and to actually make it happen and to get their own business and to grow it.

And really, by far,

 

Brilliant ideas are everywhere.  But brilliant ideas turned into a business are few and far between.  That’s because most people are so afraid of sharing their precious idea that they make it impossible for the experts who can help to find out about it and make it real.

Yeah, so I just wanted to share a story from last night that I think might help you.

It was actually an event.

It was a Fiverr event, and a whole pile of budding entrepreneurs and business people who actually are sort on their way, and a few seasoned veterans as well just all got together for discussions.

And it was very interesting.

Loads of discussions I could tell you about, but one of the ones that just reminded me of myself about 15 years ago.

I thought, “Oh. I better share the story, just in case you’re going through this.”

 

Radio Silence

 

It was guy, just chatting to in the beginning of the evening.

I was just asking him, “So, how are you doing?”

Basically, he’s still in the job and he has a business idea and that’s about as far as it went.

It was then just radio silence.

It’s like, “Oh, okay.”

So I knew roughly what he’d said, what his business idea was and the area, because I’m sort of quite familiar with it.

So I just asked and said, “It isn’t in this sort of area?” and he almost went white and said, “Sort of, yeah, but I can’t talk about it.”

“Okay. Grand.

 

What’s the decision that you’re making that’s keeping you unhappy?
