A supreme recording for you here as Pip joins forces with one of the greatest voices in the game, as you will hear throughout or may have of course heard via the Say Your Mind podcast. Kelechi is holding it down in a wild world, while maintaining dignity and finesse in times which certainly call for it (though it can be a pure struggle). An ace chat branching out into everything from being a “dickhead in recovery”, the juggles of a new mum, the white supremacist patriarchy, the co-opting of phrases to diminish, how protests are defused, “tear singlet energy”, Yoruba, Lagos to Peckham, race transcendance, Haiti, the angry Black woman narrative, past trauma, tarot and creative arts - but as you can well imagine, that’s only the surface of the iceberg. Awesome work. Get into it.
