Keswick Ministries exists to refresh the church with joy in Christ Jesus. Through our annual summer Convention, our year-round events and free resources, we gather people around God’s word so we can become more like Jesus and enjoy living for him - wherever we are, and whatever we’re doing.

After a brief biblical theology of friendship, this interactive session gets more practical about befriending and welcoming strangers among us. We’ll consider concentric circles of possibility from each individual outwards; including home, church and community. We’ll leave this session with some concrete ideas about adopting appropriate and hospitable postures relevant to our varied contexts.

A brief biblical theology of ‘the alien’ and examination of human diversity in God’s plan. We all hear plenty from the politicians, but this session soaks our minds in scripture as we encounter the stranger in our midst. Seeking to ‘have the same mindset as Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 2) we’ll end this interactive session by applying godly attitudes to various ideas for practical action.

As followers of Jesus, we don't stop following Him when we leave the church building, or enter the workplace. Or, at least, we shouldn't. And if we do, why? One reason why is a lack of confidence about our legal freedoms. In this session Mark Bainbridge, an experienced employment lawyer, will explain why you should take your whole self to work, with 5 positive points about your legal freedoms, and 5 top tips about using those legal freedoms wisely and winsomely. Continuing our exploration of worldviews, we’ll think about foundations relating to humans and to the world. We’ll consider identity (‘How do we find who we really are?’) and freedom (‘What is true freedom?’), along with progress (‘Should we embrace progress?’) and the future (‘How will history end?’). Come along to think deeply about these topics and to consider ways to help children and teenagers get a Christian perspective on them. Date Time Title Venue Speakers Description

Our worldview shapes everything. It’s one of the most important things about us, so helping children and teenagers have a Christian worldview is one of the most important things parents and others can do. In this session, we’ll explore what worldviews are, why they matter and their relevance to parenting. We’ll start to understand the Christian worldview by exploring foundations about God.

We want to say and do what will be helpful and meaningful to people we know who are hurting, but oftentimes don't know what to say, or what to do, and therefore simply avoid grieving people. In this session Nancy will equip those who want to more helpfully engage with grieving people with insight into what really helps.

When reeling from the loss of someone they love, people grab hold of many different things to find stability in the storm of sadness, and clarity in a sea of confusion. But many of the things people grab hold of emanate from the vacuous spirituality and shallow beliefs of our modern culture instead of the solid truth of God’s Word. In this session we’ll consider ten things we often hear grieving people say and challenge each with the truth of scripture.

We hear all kinds of voices speaking into our suffering, including our own voice. But what we need most is to hear the voice of Jesus. In this session we’ll consider five statements of Jesus that have the power to shape what we think and how we feel about the losses in our lives. Hearing Jesus speak assures us of Jesus' compassion, his purpose, his power, his sovereignty, and his invitation to come to him.
