Kevin McCarthy's path to speakership unclear

Rep. David Joyce is the Chair of the Republican Governance Group. He joins to discuss how GOP defections are complicating Kevin McCarthy’s path to the House speakership, and the multiple investigations House Republicans plan to launch into the Biden administration. The panel discusses the power plays of the five Congressmen signaling “no” votes to Kevin McCarthy’s speakership, McCarthy demanding DHS Secretary Mayorkas’ resignation over border issues, the Supreme Court clearing the way for the House to get Trump’s tax returns and why Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has called the Teachers Union Head, “the most dangerous person in the world”.

Ahead of the Club Q shooting suspect appearing in court tomorrow, Colorado Springs council member Nancy Henjum tells Kasie Hunt her community has been racked with “great fear and devastation”, but believes Colorado Springs is “much greater than hate”. A crippling rail strike could start as early as December 5th, after one of the biggest rail unions rejected its deal Monday. Jeremy Ferugson is President of the SMART Transportation Division and explains that “Members aren’t necessarily voting on the money issues. It’s quality of life, and how they’re treated”.
