Dozens are dead after a Midwest cross-country storm system smashed into the Heartland of America. The death toll comes from Kansas to Mississippi after powerful storm systems swept across the Midwest and South. The severe weather knocked out power to hundreds of thousands and damage assessments are underway. A new tornado watch was issued for portions of West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. California's top insurance regulator on Friday said he would approve an emergency request by State Farm to raise premiums 22% on home insurance for about a million customers if the insurance giant could justify the hike at a public hearing. The Law Makers, Law Breakers and times that there oughta be a law. A case of measles has been confirmed in a Los Angeles County resident who recently traveled through the Los Angeles International airport, the county's Department of Public Health announced in a statement Tuesday.

Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger says there are many people who sacrificed their political lives by challenging people like Steve Bannon and Newsom is trying to build his career by platforming him. President Donald Trump threatened to impose a massive tariff on European alcohol in response to the European Union’s retaliation against his steel and aluminum tariffs – a tit-for-tat escalation of a trade war that could easily get out of hand. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his administration would impose a 200% tariff on alcoholic beverages from the EU unless it rescinds the 50% tariff the European government imposed on US whiskey. March Madness is bound to impact office productivity, but if managed correctly, it’s also a great opportunity to establish an annual ritual that builds office morale and employee engagement. Big Bear's beloved bald eagle couple, Jackie and Shadow, have welcomed three eaglets into the world. Unfortunately, Friends of Big Bear Valley confirmed on Saturday that one of Jackie and Shadow's eaglets has died. Concern over the chick came Friday when only two of the eaglets were visible.
