Tomas is a third-generation guitar maker who not only creates guitars for famous musicians and hobbyists alike but also teaches local kids how to play them as well. Behind the storefront on Ceasar E Chavez Ave lies the nonprofit Candelas Music and Arts Foundation. Tomas created the foundation to teach young people from low-income families from around the area how to play the guitar.
