Shuv Homsi comes from a diverse background of Business, Social Services, Community Services and Mental Health. His ability to foster social change enlightens a broad range of professional industries across Australia.

It was my absolute please to have Gary Jubelin come to my studio for this epic interview where the table have been turned and i get to ask all the questions. I did lots of research and i feel this interview is my best ever, i hope you guys enjoy.

Did you know;
Gary Jubelin was one of Australia’s most celebrated detectives. He joined the NSW Police Force in 1985 and retired in 2019 as a Detective Chief Inspector.  

 During his 34-year policing career he led some of the country’s biggest murder investigations including the serial killing of three Aboriginal children in Bowraville. The brutal gangland murder of Terry Falconer and seven other murders, which was featured in the Underbelly Television Series ‘Badness’. He also ran the crime scene following the Lindt Café Siege.  

He was leading the investigation into the abduction of 3-year-old William Tyrrell when he was controversially removed and charged by his own organisation for recording a conversation with a suspect in the Tyrrell investigation.  This is something he makes no apologies for other than the impact it had on the investigation due to his forced removal.  
His vast experience as a detective in major crime includes performing duties in the Armed Hold Up Squad, Organised Crime Squad and Gangs Squad. 
He also was heavily involved in tactical policing performing duties in the Tactical Response Group, State Protection Support Unit and Close Personal Protection.

 Since leaving the police he has been employed as an investigative journalist with News Corp, writing for The Sunday Telegraph. Co-authored two top selling No.1 True Crime Books his memoire ‘I Catch Killers’ and ‘Badness’. Hosts one of the country’s top rating podcasts ‘I Catch Killers’. Is a contributor to television programs including 60 Minutes and Under Investigation for the Nine Network. He has also toured Australia with the ‘I Catch Killers Live Event’ stage show.     

He is still passionate about justice for victims of crime, strongly supports restorative justice and is continuing to assist victims where he can in his new role.

In his humble opinion “addiction” or distraction is everywhere. 

People are choosing to numb out or distract from themselves more than ever before in this plugged in society. 

Be it alcohol, drugs, porn, social media, dating apps, Netflix, food and over eating, over working or people pleasing, you name it, Humans are over indulging to avoid actually feeling and processing their emotions and it’s manifesting in the form of DIS-ease.

Drew believes that, quite simply, the vice eg the drugs or social media or food is just a symptom of a deeper rooted problem. It’s just the coping mechanism people have found works to suppress the hurt and pain of the past. And it works really well, until it doesn’t. 

When we can stop looking through the lens of “why the addiction?” And start looking at it from “why the pain?” Or why the need to numb, we begin to find a more permanent solution to a very real global problem. 

Drew works with those who struggle to break free of their vices, who want to live a life of freedom without needing to lean on alcohol, porn, social media, pills, food, weed, drugs, or anything else holding them back that leaves them feeling regretful, empty and unfulfilled.

He helps them to dig up their vice, rip it up at its roots, and guide them to reseed the programming so that it never shows up again. What separates him from other coaches is that he has lived the experience. He comes from the trenches of rock-bottom drug and alcohol addiction and because of this his clients experience permanent lasting shifts and learn to live what it means to be better than their bullshit and how to thrive whilst doing so.

Matt Kay:

I spent my entire younger life from age 12 to age 26 addicted to various substances, mainly heroin, I was in and out of prison and experienced all the horror that comes along with that lifestyle.

All the therapy, all the misdiagnosis and all the rehabilitation never touched or recognised the underlying trauma that drove my self soothing behaviours.

It wasn't until I attended rehab for the 17th time that someone suggested I look at my trauma, for the first 12 months I spent in transitional housing I engaged in deep somatic work and healing. I became fascinated with seeing the unconscious forces which governed my life, and how they were experienced as densities within the felt sense of my body. As these densities were released, parts of my identity began to fall away and I began to experience a deeper and more essential Self, the I Am.

The insights that came quite organically throughout this inquiry and unravelling process align very much with the message of your book, and lead me into the teachings of Hameed Ali and Adyashanti. And of course, as a natural result of these insights this has now become my life's work to assist others to unravel these survival adaptations so they can begin to experience a more embodied, authentic and present life.

There was little to eat and a fair share of abuse. By the age of 12, Jeff was living on the streets, where he quickly lost the rest of his youth to a life of crime.

Jeff’s biggest life lessons came from holding himself accountable after 18 years in and out of the custody of Australia’s maximum-security prisons from 1992 until 2010. During that period, Jeff missed opportunities and precious time with family. His parents died of cancer, his brother and sister were lost to suicide, and most recently, another brother passed away due to a preventative health issue.

Learning to believe in himself, thanks to support from mentors and educational opportunities, helped flip Jeff’s mindset and reality.

Jeff’s road to redemption story is inspiring. He is passionate about sharing his expertise by empowering and supporting others to take action and become the very best version of themselves. His lifestyle programs are online and accessible to anyone who wants to reset their life plan, shift their mindset and daily habits, and achieve their best life.

How this former career criminal and bank robber Russell Manser has turned his life around. Russell also escaped prison in the 80s and 90s and did 23 years in prison across 3 different states.

Now having turned his life around, he talks openly to interesting people about trauma, survival, transformation and hope.

Growing up in a broken home led Sonya to experience trauma and abuse in her teenage years. She used drugs and alcohol to escape the pain. By early adulthood she was a full-blown addict. 

Sonya started a family of her own but couldn't stop using. Her addiction led to losing custody of her kids, becoming estranged from family, and getting into legal troubles. Going to jail saved her life. While in there, she found hope through the shared experience of others who were recovering from addiction. Sonya surrendered to a new way of life and let others show her how to live. 

Today, she has regained custody of her children, successfully navigated through  legal troubles, and found a life beyond her wildest dreams!

Sonya also has a strong presence on social media sharing her stories of recovery and helping countless people along the way. This is going to be a cracker episode!
