This week the siblings break down one of Carie's emotional faves, Don Bluth's Thumbelina (1994). Ross gets irrationally upset about the unhelpful cast of animal characters in the journey. Carie swoons over "Let Me Be Your Wings." Most importantly however, Ross wants to make sure you know this isn't a love story but a human trafficking story. 

For our first episode of the new year, Carie and Ross break down one of Ross' favorite made-for-tv movies, The Rosa Parks Story. Ross provides a great deal of historical context regarding Jim Crow and the laws that segregated Black people from Whites, Carie gets incensed over never hearing the name Claudette Colvin in school, and the siblings remark on how Angela Bassett patently refuses to age.

For the final episode of 2022, the siblings break down part two of their coverage of Tom Hoopers's movie musical, Les Miserables. In this emotional conclusion, Carie thirsts over student revolutionaries, Ross provides a great deal of history regarding the shift of French power in the 1830's, and the sbilngs get a taste in their mouth for what it means to be truly Wretched.

This week, Ross is confronted with his boyfriend, Tom Hooper's greatest achievement, the film adaptation of the famous stage musical, Les Miserables (2012). Ross provides context for the political climate in France at the time, Carie sobs over the fall of Fantine, and the siblings remember their own time at Notre Dame Cathedral.

This week, another kid who's too smart for his own good once again takes down a team of adult criminals in the John Hughes threequel, Home Alone 3 (1997). Ross defends his love of the threequel over Home Alone 2. Carie praises the conceit of the chase for a computer ship designed for the United States Air Force, and the siblings get their regular holiday montage of grown adults wrecking themselves in a series of comedic stunts.

This week, the siblings get down to the nitty gritty with the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004). Carie and Ross follow SpongeBob and Patrick on their journey to retrieve the crown of Neptune so they can save Mr. Krabs from a bonefide crab bake. Carie remarks on how millennials all became Squidward, Ross remarks on the universatility of SpongeBob as an IP, and the siblings remember that the kid inside is better than the adult on the outside.

This week, the siblings butt heads over one of Ross' childhood favorites, Nickelodeon's attempt at adatping the vastly popular book series, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Carie gets irrationally angry at the misteps in adapting the first three books for the silver screen, Ross dives into his deep love of Lemony Snicket's tone and mystique, and the siblings go back and forth on the performance of Jim Carrey.
