In the 15th episode of KS Journeys I talk with Eduardo Baraf (known as Edo ... pronounced Edd-O) about his extensive Kickstarter experience. With 10 board games, and a few other KSers, Edo has learned a lot about how to run a successful campaign. During the interview we learn a bit about managing your expectations for each Kickstarter, enjoying the process of game creation and development, and some thoughts on marketing financing for larger campaigns.
Have a look at Edo's Kickstarter page for The One Hundred Torii, HERE.

In this episode we look at the KS game project of a company that has self published for years, but the founders son wanted to introduce the families games to a new audience! Listen in as I discuss Cover Your Kingdom with the punny, and enthusiastic Jeff Beck of Grandpa Beck's Games.
We discuss customer service, humor in games, and the benefits of Kickstarter versus just trying to keep selling in traditional methods.

In this episode we do our first interview for a creator of a project that is not a tabletop game! Vorpal Board is a gaming accessory that allows you to play games with people around the world, who don't even need the Vorpal tech or the board game they are playing!
The campaign is still live on Kickstarter as of the publishing of this episode (live until Feb 19th, then late pledges to be available). Visit it HERE.
Want to see their website, check it out HERE.
Interested in their YouTube channel? Have a look HERE.
One of FunDaMental Games creations, called Legends of Novus, was played live on Vorpal Board last year. The recording can be watched on YouTube by clicking HERE.

In this solo episode, I reflect back on the first 10 guests of the podcast, and who to expect in the near future. I plan to make one of these after every 10th episode.
Thanks for listening!
A true Kickstarter success story, Jamey Stegmaier had a first campaign of just $305 USD, then 4 years later had a campaign that raised $1.8 million (Scythe). Over $3 million raised with over 41,000 pledges, this Kickstarter Journey is definitely one to learn from! Jamey tells us a bit about his thoughts on pledge levels, videos, add-on content, and even the dark side of social support and crowdfunding.
Hope you enjoy it! The book that is referenced in the podcast can be found HERE.
James often referenced Kickstarter posts are in the same site, but start HERE.
And if you want to check out and purchase any of the amazing Stonemaier Games, the same site, but head HERE.
