For this milestone episode it couldn’t be anybody else in the guest seat other than KG’s own, Jeremy Keys! And for Jeremy, there could be no other movie worth revisiting than the 1986 Jim Henson cult-classic: Labyrinth. Between David Bowie’s performance, David Bowie’s hair, and David Bowie’s bulge — there was plenty to discuss. Will this movie end up in the Bog of Eternal Stench or is it worthy of Jeremy’s patented display of love — a sheet cake from Acme? The goblins are taking the Kid Goggles hosts away for the summer, so be sure to listen to Hardwork Movement and the KG catalog all summer long!

Shine bright, shine far, this week’s star is none other than KG’s own co-host, the marvelous Stacie Lyons! Stacie could still remember all the words (and dance moves) to this movie’s theme song, but was this Tyra Banks/Lindsay Lohan vehicle as magical as she remembered? Did anybody ever realize that Lohan was a sorcerer? Did anybody arrest the homicidal truck driver that tried to run her down? And did she see those new shoes at the mall? Maybe you’ll find out in episode 2 of the “School’s Out for the Summer” series!

“Welcome to The Rock.” The iconic words of an aged Sean Connery beckoned a young Engineer AJ to the nearest TV screen for a hypnotic display of gunshots, patriotism, and the one-of-a-kind acting of peak Nicholas Cage. But does AJ still take pleasure in guttin’ you, boy? Known by fans mainly through his background laughter, as the guy who does the echo effects, and from his Hot Takes, AJ takes the guest seat for the very first time! Who would he M.F.K. between the movie’s three leads? Is Jeremy’s Sean Connery impression actually just Bane? And how in the name of Zeus’s BUTTHOLE is Stacie supposed to keep her composure around Ed Harris’s baby-blues? The first episode of three in the “School’s Out For The Summer” series! Michael Biehn might refuse to give an order, but KG won’t: GO LISTEN NOW.

The one thing that the wonderful and hilarious, Kate Fruhman, loved about her childhood? All the damn vampires. Oh, and all the Corey Haim. Mostly just the Corey Haim. Book-ended on a VHS tape by The Secret of NIMH and a terrifying Martin Sheen voodoo movie, this ’80s cult-classic became Kate’s secret obsession. But does the quality still hold up all these years later, or is this sultry horror/thriller/comedy worth recording over? Either way, that saxophone guy…

WORK THAT BODY and then settle down for Prince and the Pauper meets Kid ‘n Play in this 1992 teen romp starring zero teenagers. The insanely talented hip-hop artist, Chill Moody, has loved Class Act ever since he was seven and snuck into the theater to see Duncan and Blade avoiding crop-top-wearing drug dealers and thirsty AF teachers, and then lay down an anti-drug rap at a party thrown by the one-and-only Paulie Shore aka The Weasel. Class is in session, buh-uuhddieees!

Yo Wasteoid, you think The Breakfast Club is beyond reconsideration? Improviser and repeat guest, Chris Esperance (ep# 20– Bad Boys), thinks this quintessential piece of ’80s cinema might not be able to hold its smoke in 2018. Was he right? Do you approve of this? The KG crew hashes it out, and discuss which Club members they would have been friends with, who was their Dick Vernon, and their high school run-ins with authority. PLUS: Special guest host, Kate Fruhman, talks about her stint as a vandal, and more HOT TAKES with Engineer AJ!

SHARK DIVE into this “jawesome” TMNT rip-off that served as the re-introduction to American cartoons for the unbelievably funny, Pim Van H! Pim once dreamed of becoming Tim Jones, an all-American oceanographer, but a rat-tail and a fear of the bends stood in his way. Fortunately, Street Sharks was there as a sort of wish fulfillment for Pim, inspiring him to chomp up invisible foes in the shallow end of his community pool. But all these years later, can Jab, Streex, Slammu, and Ripster still inspire such vigilantism? And did anyone ever take care of Fission City’s smog problem?

In part 2, everyone shares their scariest doll stories, the gang meets the Freakmans, and final verdicts are issued! Will this campfire still burn bright 20 years later or is it finally time to throw a bucket of water on it and get the hell home?

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society comes a two-part episode dedicated to the show that gave every ’90s kid nightmares. All except the unbelievable tattoo artist and owner of Dollhouse Tattoo Parlour, Nicole Auletto, who, much like her favorite Midnight Society member, Betty Ann, reveled in the fear that the stories induced in her peers. In part 1, Nicole discovers if her memory of Frank N. Furter from Rocky Horror as the villain in Tale of the Whispering Walls was correct, Jeremy thinks Wesley Snipes is in Puppet Master, and special guest host Melinda Messina (ep# 30) brings tales of her haunted alma mater!

A salient commentary on women’s roles in society, an acerbic critique of consumer culture, and an attack on governmental abuse of power, this movie is as relevant today as it was in 1981. There’s also a guy playing a gorilla doing Benny Hill shtick, relentless screams of children, and enough anxiety-inducing scenes to rival a horror movie. But most of that was lost on a young Ralph Andracchio (host of Porn Stash, improviser, and instructor), who simply loved the catchy parody jingles, bright colors, and size-based hijinks. But that’s not all that the town of Tasty Meadows has! It also has boat sheen, Cheese Tease, and huge Valium-abuse epidemic.
