Andrei Chikatilo grew up during the reign of Stalin in Ukraine. He had to endure many hardships while growing up, to say the least. But is that a good enough excuse for him to murder 52 people with his bare hands? We don’t think so.

 

Moscow Mule Recipe

Glassware:

Copper mug

Ingredients:

– 1.5 oz vodka

– 0.5 oz lime juice

– 0.5 cup ginger beer

– 1 lime wedge for garnish

– ice cubes

Directions:

1. Add vodka and lime juice into a mug

2. Add ice cubes and ginger beer

3. Stir and add a lime wedge for garnish

4. Enjoy!

Even if you aren't hip on all the latest fashion crazes, chances are you have heard of Giovanni Versace. He made himself into an international name and business that produced clothing, fragrances, home furnishings, and much more. He was friends with Eric Clapton, Naomi Campbell, Madonna, Elton John, Cher, Sting, and Tupac. That is until he was murdered during a spree killing right outside his home in Miami.

Elizabeth Bathory aka The Blood Countess:

Elizabeth Bathory is considered one of the most vicious women serial killers of all times. If her name doesn't ring any bells it is probably because her reign of terror occurred during the 16th and 17th centuries. Elizabeth's favorite past time was torturing young peasant girls in new and unique ways. How did she get away with it for so long? Because she was a Hungarian noblewoman who had a private castle all to herself.

"Monster of the Andes" aka Pedro Alonso López:

Does Pedro Alonso López sound familiar to you? Probably not, but he killed more people than John Wayne Gacy and Ted Bundy combined. So why haven't you heard of him? Maybe because he was active during the hay day of serial killers in the 70s. Or maybe it was because his reign of terror took place in small villages in South America. For whatever the reason you'll want to hear why this man truly is the Monster of the Andes.

Joran van der Sloot:

Joran van der Sloot was minding his own business when a young woman was found dead in his hotel room in Lima in 2010. Was he being framed? Was it an accident? Not likely since he was also the prime suspect in the international disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005. Death seemed to be following Mr. van der Sloot, but he kept denying any involvement.

The "Vampire of Sacremento" aka Richard Trenton Chase:

Ever doubted vampires were real? You must not have heard about Richard Trenton Chase. He had a steady diet of animal entrails and Coca-Cola until he decided he needed to start eating humans. His murder spree only lasted a month, but what he did will leave you reeling. He told detectives that he took unlocked doors as a welcome to come into strangers homes. So, for the love of everything you hold dear, lock your doors and stay safe.

The Tate Murders and Manson Family:

The Manson family and Charles Manson himself have a very in-depth history. During this week's episode, we focus on the murders that they committed. Murders that left five people and an unborn child dead. All because Manson didn't get the record deal he wanted with a producer named Melcher. That's right, Manson wrote songs and The Beach Boys even performed some of them.

Jodi Arias:

Jodi Arias met Travis Alexander in 2006 at a conference in Las Vegas. However, this wasn't your typical 'what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' scenario. Jodi, instead, decided that Travis was husband material and she wouldn't settle for anything less. Over the next several years, their relationship became more volatile as Travis tried to put distance between him and Jodi. Unfortunately, Jodi had other plans for Travis's future.

Cozzie Merrill Jones:

It's the warning your parents always gave you while growing up, "Don't take rides from strangers!" However, back in the 1960s, anything was fair game, such as driving without seatbelts, women smoking while pregnant, and perms. People would also often hitchhike and poor 8-year-old Marguerita Bejarano did just that in 1961. She got into a car with Cozzie Merrill Jones, not knowing he had just escaped from jail and that she would never see her family again.

Sante Kimes: The Mother-Son Killer Duo

In this week's episode, Dreya tells the story of Sante Kimes. She was a mother of two who found the time to commit robbery, insurance fraud, arson, dabble in slavery, murder, and so much more. When her son, Kenneth Kimes Jr., grew older he began to partake in his mother's extracurricular activities, which only solidified their unbreakable bond.

Christian Nielsen: The Black Bear B&B Murders

Jackie then tells me about a mother and her daughter who moved to Maine after a tragedy struck their family. Once there, they opened a B&B and everything was getting back to normal until a man by the name of Christin Nielsen checked into the inn. This unknown man would take the lives of four innocent people during his stay and he would head back to work like nothing ever happened.

The Selena Quintanilla Murder:

In this week's episode, Jackie gives me the low down on Yolanda Saldívar who became obsessed with Selena Quintanilla. You might remember Selena as the international singer in the 90s who became best known for her hit singles "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" and "La Carcacha". Unfortunately, Saldívar went from star-struck fan to best gal pals with Selena, which ended in embezzlement and murder.

The Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo Cult Murders:

I then tell Jackie all about Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo who went from amateur model to being a notorious serial killer and cult leader in Mexico. Quite the career change, right?

The BBQ Murders:

Jackie chose to cover the BBQ murders, but don't get too excited because this story is no picnic. It involved Marlene Olive and Charles Riley who were just teenagers when they killed their two unsuspecting victims.

"The Modern Murderess":

Dreya told the story of Velma Van Woert West, better known as the Modern Murderess. This 1920s gal just wanted to go out with her friends, but her husband kept getting in the way of her bridge game. So she took matters into her own hands.
