Killer Stories

Well helllllloooo!
It has been a thick minute, hasn't it? Life has been a bit chaotic to say the least. A new work schedule and my son home for the summer has put a halt on my ability to research, write, record, edit... get anything done at all. But.. I can't leave you hanging!

I wanted to give a little teaser until I am in a place where I am ready to bring you a full season. Some of you may have heard this story already if you are fans of British Murders. I was a guest on the show and told the story of Larry Gene Bell- a convicted killer from Lexington, SC.

Hang on because you are in for a crazy ride!

Victims:
Sharon (Shari) Faye Smith, 17
Debra May Helmick, 9

Suspected victims:
Sandee Elaine Cortnett, 26

This week I am covering the murder of Lisa Naegle. You may recognize her as a contestant on the 2010 E! network reality show, Bridalplasty. 6 years after the show aired, she was brutally attacked by her student and "friend", Jackie Rogers.

But why?

In a previous episode, I covered the mysterious deaths of 9 hikers in the Dyatlov Pass. This week I am going to discuss a very similar incident that occurred in Southern Siberia back in 1993. And even though there was one survivor... the Khamar-Daban Incident is still a mystery to this day.

What do you think happened to the 6 hikers who perished? Military conspiracy, lethal chemicals, low-frequency sound waves, shrooms or simply hypothermia?

This week's episode involves the abuse of a 3 year old girl that ultimately led to her death. I understand this is not everyone's cup of tea (I mean who's cup of tea is child abuse?) but Nia Glassie's story deserves to be told. To raise awareness and prevention of child abuse.

5 individuals were involved in the abuse/lack of protection, including her own Mother. Tighten your boot straps becasue this one is going to be a rough ride.

This week I have a very special episode. Jennifer Barlow joins me to tell the story of her Uncle, Stephan Manolis, and how he was convicted of a murder that took place in 1996.
(The murder of Kristin Scarabelli)

Jennifer took 8 months off to write a book dedicated to the facts of the case and how she believes he was wrongly convicted.

Today's case was suggested by listener Jody Parisi. She is from Rochester, NY and wanted me to cover this (unsolved) string of murders that happened in the 1970's.
These 3 victims had something in common, they had first and last names that started with the same letter- Carmen Colon, Wanda Walkowicz and Michelle Maenza. Did this murderer have a thing for illiteration or was this just pure coincidence?
