What comes to mind when you hear the words "Holy Spirit?" If the pastor said he would be teaching about the Holy Spirit, would it intrigue you or cause you to avoid THAT message? There are misconceptions with the Church about the Holy Spirit. Strange behaviors have been attributed to the Spirit. But what if those things are not biblical? Join us as we explore what the Scriptures teach about the Holy Spirit.

After looking at a synopsis of Jesus' life last week, join me in diving deeper into who others said Jesus was. Our focus will be on what the Angel of the Lord said, along with John the Baptist Apostle John, Letter to the Hebrews and the book of Revelation. Each of these individuals has something incredibly important to say about Jesus. Don't miss it!

Who is Jesus? You probably have an answer to that question if you've grown up in the church. Something like, "He's God's Son. Mary was His mom. He grew up and lived in Israel. He did miracles. Died on a cross and rose from the dead Easter Sunday." All of which is true. Today, we will begin our look at Jesus with very familiar details. At the end of the day, we will be reminded that He is God and that He did something very wonderful so we could have eternal life. To know Him is to love Him. Could you love a God like this?

Where is the Father? God the Father is very active. He is not simply sitting on His heaveny throne keeping an eye on things. He is active. Each Person of the Trinity is involved in the salvation of humanity. Our aim this week is to gain insight into the Father's activity on our behalf.

After taking a closer look at Who God is, we want to focus our attention on each Person of the Trinity. First of all, Who is the Father? Is He God? What does He do? What is He like? Join us Sunday as we explore the Scripture and gain insight into the Father.

Is it possible that we have come to view God too casually? Perhaps we've lost a proper sense of awe. As we take a look at the Person behind "the name of the Lord," I believe we can and should gain or regain a fresh sense of awe. And as we get to know Him better, it is reasonable to believe we will love Him more.

Do you know Who God is? How would you describe Him? Many say they "know" God or "believe" in God, but do they REALLY know Him? Join us this Sunday as we begin a series of messages in which we will take time to capture a fresh glimpse of Who God is. Let our prayer be to know Him better and to love Him more.

Psalm 1 tells us the path to blessing is to not walk in the counsel of the wicked, but to delight in the law of the Lord. But what happens when we fall short and find ourselves in sin? Is there another path to blessing? King David would answer with a resounding YES! Join us Sunday as we walk through Psalm 32-David's personal testimony of the joy and blessing that comes when we experience God's forgiveness.

How is your passion for God? Has the pandemic had an effect on your love for God? Perhaps it has cooled off your once-strong desire. As Paul admonished Timothy to "fan into flame the gift of God," join me Sunday as I encourage each of us to fan into flame God's gift that is in us.

Our final reminder this Sunday focuses on who Jesus cares about. How wide-sweeping was Jesus' atonement? Most of the world (5.4 billion people) does not believe nor care about Jesus. Does He care about them? Did He die for them? If He did, what is the sense of going to the cross for people who will never believe? But wait, maybe Jesus' atonement was limited. Maybe it was only limited to those who receive Him by faith? Which is it? Did He die for everyone or not? This Sunday come and be reminded who Jesus cares about.
