Disappointment: Something each and every one of us are familiar with. If you've not experienced it, just wait a short time and you will. Is there One who might never disappoint us? The Apostle Paul seems to think so. Join us as we take a look at the truth that Jesus will never disappoint us, even though we may have disappointments in this life.

Death is all around us, all the time. Jesus tells Martha (and us) that "whoever believes in Me shall never die" and then asks her if she "believes this?" Do we do a good job of showing others this in our day to day lives? As followers of Christ we should live life confidently; pointing others towards the love of God and the truth of Christ!

Throughout the course of our lives there will be times when we feel offended or we may offend someone else. Offenses are much more difficult to handle when they are from someone close to us. We work and process our way through petty offenses and situations that can create a spiritual anger. In Mark 6:1-6, Jesus shares an example of how we can handle offenses with Christians, and honestly, everyone! We will also study several ways to resolve an offense from various pieces of scripture in the Bible.

As parents, it's kind of nice to say, "Because I said so" or "Because I can." We kind of like being the "final authority." But we don't necessaarily like it when we see God making choices that we don't like, and He didn't ask our opinion about it. In this next section of Paul's letter he addresses a couple of issues. First, the seriousness of not knowing Jesus, and second, God's sovereign choices. Here's a question for you: Are you okay with God's choices?

Everyone likes someone to be for them, to be on their side. Can you believe God is on your side? We are entering a brand new year. If you knew God was for you and not against you, what difference would it make as you faced this year? Paul is very clear in his teaching that God is for us. His love is unfailing. Nothing will stop God from loving us. He is on our side!

We are coming to the end of a year and the end of a decade. Year end is always a good time to reflect over the past 12 months. What has happened in my life? What lessons have I learned? What would I do differently? These and many more questions may come to mind. Join us as we countdown to 2020 with 5 things to remember.

Christmas time allows us a great opportunity to take a closer look at Jesus. When we see Him for Who He is, we realize He is not just another... Scripture reveals that Jesus is a King. But is He just another king or is there something that makes Him stand apart from all others? Join us as we journey through the Scriptures again to see that Jesus is not just another...king.

We can easily get caught up in admiration and intrigue of certain powerful or influential individuals. Maybe we slip into thinking that they are super human or bigger than life. What about Jesus? Who is He? Is He just another man? We will discover the answer to this question.

Who can God use to accomplish His plans? In perhaps the biggest plan for the human race, God chose who we might consider highly unlikely individuals to play a significant role in the master plan. A craftsman and a virgin girl from a tiny little burg in a small Middle East country. You and I probably would not have chosen to use who God did. As we look at the opening scenes of the birth of Jesus, we will learn a very important lesson: God can use you!
