Thanksgiving. It's a specific time set aside to remember to give thanks for the blessings of life given to us by God. Just how thankful are you? Sadly, I find it easy to take those closest to me for granted and sometimes fail to say "thanks." Sunday, we will give you an opportunity to express your "thanks" to those who make Sunday miistry and all other ministries happen at Kilpatrick Church. We don't want to ever take our incredible volunteers for granted. Be prepared to share publicly something you are thankful to God for that took place in 2019.

As we wrap up the YAFI series, we want to address the issue of taking another's life. Doe the Bible have anything to say about this? What about war time killing? Law enforcement? The Bible is not silent. Our final question will have to do with salvation. Can grudges or unforgiveness impact our salvation? That is the question.

In John 20, Jesus said to His disciples, "Receive the Holy Spirit." Was this different from the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost? Is there an explanation for this? The Apostle's Creed states that Jesus "descended into hell." Did Jesus actually go to hell following His death? We will see.

Life brings with it both sorrow and loneliness. Because of brokenness due to sin, these things will impact us. Does the Bible address these issues? If so, what does the Bible say? We will look at some practical ways to deal with these two troubling issues of life.

As we journey through the Christian life, there are basic truths which are beneficial to know. These basic truths are not necessarily simple, nor easy to understand, but they are helpful as we grow in our faith. The answers to the questions asked for this message fall into the category of "basic." Come, let's learn or be reminded of basic truth of Scripture.

Do you like to wait? What if it's God asking you to wait? Do you know what God wants for your life and how He wants you to live? Do you forgive as He forgave you? This message will cover questions asked regarding these things and we will look to the Bible to see what God wats for each and every one of us.

The Bible speaks to us in a very straightforward way about sexuality. We can learn from the Scripture what is appropriate sexual behavior God says is sin. In a culture that seems to be enamored with sexuality, it is vital that we, as believers, know and have Biblical sexual practices.

Perception is often reality to the person perceiving, even though the perception may be incorrect. What does the non-believing world think about us, as believers? Do they have a perception that is accurate? This message will look at how we interact with fellow-believers, as well as taking a closer view of what the world may think of us and what we can do to change that view...if it's inaccurate.

In life, there are a few uncomfortable topics to discuss. One of which is death. As we move along in our YAFI series, we will attempt to look into the Scriptures to see what we can learn about death. One thing we can know for certain is that none of us will get out of here alive (unless Jesus returns first). In this message we will discover what the Bible has to say about the human soul and learn whether or not original sin has impacted the soul of humans.
