Kim Gordon, the soft-spoken, hard-edged heroine of the 1980s New York City underground became a beloved icon of the 1990s alternative rock boom. Her marriage with her Sonic Youth bandmate Thurston Moore was the ultimate #relationshipgoals for Generation X and beyond, before it all fell apart.
