Legendary producer DOUG McBRIDE of GRAVITY STUDIOS CHICAGO is ambushed into a professional deep dive on the production and subsequent re-master(s) of KISS's seminal 1977 salvo, the EDDIE KRAMER produced 'LOVE GUN' album. Doug holds no punches in a fascinating look at the production practices in New York & LA of the 70's and "the sound wars that pummeled rock & roll" as albums got remastered for CD and then again for online and our phones. Interview Recorded & Edited by ZANE REREK - KISStorian.com #CheapTrick #VanHalen #KISS #EddieKramer

"Vibrato is Feeling" ...The second installment of our phone calls with qualified ACE FREHLEY aficionado BILL BAKER sharing memories from Ace's ill-fated WASHBURN Signature Series Guitar, the early east-coast KISS Conventions, generous Ace envoy EDDIE TRUNK and GENE SIMMONS & PAUL STANLEY's apparent strong arming tactics leading up to the '9 re-union via the KISS MY ASS 'tribute' album. What really shines through is Bill's dedication to help Ace anyway he could; a true Rock Soldier, and an inadvertent 'Knight In Satan's Service' to re-coin a phrase - KISStorian.com

Truth is stranger than fiction, and running with rock stars is the living proof. Semi-legendary ACE FREHLEY Jersey pal, collector and bitchin' guitarist in his own right, BILL BAKER takes us from an acoustic guitar left on his back step in childhood to a gear swap that led to his first brush with Ace in 1990. - KISStorian.com

Another Chicago-slanted, ACE FREHLEY-fueled, KISS deep dive, this time with guitarist/songwriter BOB REMINGTON of one of the heaviest Chicago bands of all-time, ZIPPERHEAD ...Bobby graciously take us back to the beginning (after DONNIE OSMOND that is) to when he heard "Rock & Roll All Nite" playing on his hockey coach's car radio. From there we ramble together back to his brothers & sisters 70's record collection, talk lead guitar, and finally arrive back at the Aragon Ballroom to see FREHLEY'S COMET on the night that would become, to our surprise just a few months later, the Frehley's Comet; Live + 1 album! To top it off, Bob shares for the first time anywhere an unreleased ZIPPERHEAD tune that features a solo only Bob, or Ace, could have come up with - KISStorian.com

A random phone call to talk about some revealing Revenge era Youtube videos dovetails into a discussion on 'the Animalize Manifesto' that leads to a deep dive on 80's/90's KISS albums as we embark on a Herculean mission to create a 22 song 'Best of Unmasked KISS' double LP. Like a lot of us, KISS likes to pretend the 80's never happened, but not the KISS Army! -- KISStorian.com

An insane deep dive between siblings exploring the 'Unmasked' albums as we try to create a 22 song 'Unmasked' greatest hits, aka 11 X 2. Its a Herculean task to be sure. As brother Rich opined towards the end of this, our longest phone call yet, "I don't want to do this ever again". www.KISStorian.com

Minor FREHLEY'S COMET chit-chat and a long overdue slapdash cover of "Rock or Be Rocked" by ACE FREHLEY in hopes he'll go ahead and record it soon! - KISStorian.com

Hey now, Sharing a 'pod-boot' if you will, from the beat-to-hell cassette I finally located and just now digitized to the mp3. Behold, the first incarnation of FREHLEY'S COMET killing it in '86, our 1st ACE FREHLEY sighting post-KISS, featuring ANTON FIG on drums, JOHN REGAN on bass, RICHIE SCARLET on guitar and ARTHUR STEAD on keyboards --- arguably the best band, and performance, he's ever fielded. Just listen, because what this recording lacks in sound quality is blasted to Jendel & back by the spirited new offerings and crowd response! - KISStorian.com

Another pointless yet cathartic phone call about KISS -- this time a long overdue ambush of Chicago KISS Army legend, Harley rocker and local tenement funster 'Little John' of PHAT KISS!! Together we veer from the biker ethos of Marlon Brando's 'The Wild One' to 'Rush Hour' at Live Wire Lounge where we first met, then from his first hearing "I Stole Your Love" off Alive II and knowing, somehow even at 11, he was  'in' for a real 'rock & roll party' to the reality of running a hard working KISS cover band and having occasionally to "STAND UP UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN!!" - KISStorian.com

What a treat to get to not only talk to legendary NYC rocker Richie Scarlet about his new single "The Catman & The Emperor" ) featuring Peter Criss on drums but to get to stream it with you here with you KISStorian! Richie kindly shares his heartfelt 'Rock Soldiers' inspiration for the tune, info on pre-orders of the green & purple vinyl "The Catman & The Emperor" single, news of Scarlet's forth-coming full-length album and announcement of his 'Show Of Shows' virtual concert, streaming live from the Bowery Electric on January 30th! - KISStorian.com
