Round 1 is here with our 2023 campaign beginning tomorrow night across the ditch against the Warriors.

Your co-hosts, Mat and Jae chat about Crokes’ journey from NSW Cup to his NRL debut back in Round 13, 2021.

Crokes also chats about the day he received the call up from AOB; racing against the clock from his job site in Cessnock with just 13 minutes to spare.

Excitement is building ahead of the 2023 campaign with new faces and new combinations set to take to the field for Round 1.

We're joined by one of those new faces in off-season recruit, Adam Elliott, on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

After seven seasons in the NRL with over 100 games to his name, Elliott has already immersed himself in the Newcastle community and brings with him plenty of experience and leadership qualities.

We kick off the episode with Adam's very own player quiz to test his knowledge on his own career including a crazy stat on his own goal-kicking days.

Elliott talked his decision to move to the Club plus living in Newcastle with his partner and 2022 NRLW premiership winner, Millie Boyle.

Having joined the nib Newcastle Knights coaching staff in the off-season, Senior Assistant Coach Brian McDermott talks about his journey within the game and how the squad is preparing for the 2023 season.

A highly regarded coach and former English Super league player, McDermott has won several major trophies and titles, including four premierships at the helm of the Leeds Rhinos, making him the most successful coach in Super League history.

On the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast, the boys test Brian's knowledge on his playing and coaching career, plus a game against our very own Knights back in '02 as part of the World Club Challenge.

The new Assistant Coach also spoke about his transition into coaching after over 250 games for the Bradford Bulls. He also shares stories from his title-winning Leeds sides including a famous treble-winning season in 2015.

McDermott also discusses his excitement to work in a new country, in the NRL.

On the second episode of the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast, we spoke with special guest and new signing, Jackson Hastings.

In the final episode of the season, we're joined by newly appointed Director of Football, Peter Parr, on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

In a newly created role, Parr oversees the entire football operations and shared his joy in seeing our NRLW team take out the 2022 title.

Having grown up in Newcastle, Peter talked about his upbringing, his love for sport and playing for Souths Newcastle in the local rugby league competition.

Parr's career has spanned the last 25 years, the last 20 of which at the North Queensland Cowboys where he was a huge part in building their team that were apart of three Grand Finals including a famous win in 2015.

Peter has also been a part of the New South Wales Blues setup in recent times and told stories from his experience inside the Origin arena.

Our new Director of Football spoke about his decision to return home to the Knights and his plans around building a successful organisation.

In an historic week for the Newcastle Knights, our NRLW side has made it to the Grand Final.
