nib Newcastle Knights utility hooker Phoenix Crossland makes his debut on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

After a devastating ACL injury to hooker and Club captain Jayden Brailey during the season, the 22-year-old has stepped in to fill 'Brails' big shoes, in one of the hardest positions on the field.

On this episode, Crossland spoke about taking the most of his opportunities this season and reflected on some special times at the Knights so far. 

We kicked off the podcast with 'Phoen's' very own player quiz testing his knowledge on his career.

Young Phoenix moved over to Australia at the age of four after being born in Wellington, New Zealand.

nib Newcastle Knights prop forward, Leo Thompson makes his debut on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

Thompson grew up in New Zealand and has a crazy journey to rugby league, including a chance encounter leading to an opportunity at the Canberra Raiders. 

Fast forward to 2023 and Leo hasn't missed a game for the red and blue in the midst of his second season in the NRL.

Listen in as we preview this weekend's huge clash against the Brisbane Broncos, plus reflects on representing the Māori All Stars at the start of the year.

One of our own, Daniel Saifiti is set to tick off another huge milestone in the NRL this weekend.

The powerhouse forward will play his 150th NRL and Knights game this Sunday against the Manly Sea Eagles in front of the Hunter faithful.

Born in Newcastle and having grown up on the Central Coast, 'D-Saf' made his debut as a teenager back in Round 1 of 2016.

On the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast, Saifiti shared stories over the course of eight seasons in the NRL including his tough introduction to first grade to representative honours, all along wearing the red and blue jersey.

We kick off the episode with our player quiz, testing 'D-Saf's' knowledge on his 149 career games to date.

Saifiti also spoke about becoming a father for the first time and where the team sits midway through the season.

Fast becoming a fan favourite in the red and blue, nib Newcastle Knights winger Greg Marzhew makes his debut on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

The powerful outside-back joined from the Gold Coast Titans during the pre-season and has averaged just under 200 metres per game, from his first seven appearances.

The 26-year-old talked about his move to the Club and his role in the team from the tough carries to scoring in the corner up the other.

We got to know the Auckland-born talent a little bit more, including his late introduction to rugby league.

Marzhew previously travelled the world as a hip-hop dancer, representing New Zealand in the junior division at the world hip-hop championships.

After moving here from NZ in 2011, Greg began league in his teens with an opportunity down in Melbourne, before moving to the Gold Coast Titans and Parramatta Eels.

In our first edition of KNIGHTS // HQ Legends, where we talk to some of our past greats to wear the red and blue jumper, we kick things off with Knights Hall of Famer, former Captain and most capped player in the Club's history, Danny Buderus.

Born in Taree before moving to Newcastle as a teenager, 'Bedsy's' career spanned the NRL, Super League, State of Origin and internationally for Australia playing 389 first class rugby league games.

Some of his accolades include Captaining Australia, NSW and the Newcastle Knights, Dally M Player of the Year in 2004, Dally M Hooker of the Year in '02, '04 and '05, 2001 premiership winner, 2011 Super League premiership winner, 257 games for the Knights, 21 appearances for NSW and 24 Tests for Australia.

On this episode, we play 'guess that game' as we test Danny's knowledge on some of the biggest games in his career and get the deeper story ranging from memorable Origin Wins, who were the big game players in the Test and Origin arena and untold stories from his debut with the Knights back in 1997.
