A small plane has gone down at West McCarran near West Plumb lane in the Caughlin Ranch area of west Reno. Early reports suggest the plane lost an engine before landing about 130 this afternoon.

Memorial Day weekend travel means a busier than usual airport. Reno-Tahoe International expects about 12,000 passengers each day of the holiday weekend.

Reno Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a bank last Friday, but was unsuccessful. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon Friday, when the suspect walked up to the bank inside the WalMart on Kietzke Lane and demanded money. The teller refused, and the man walked away. He was gone by the time officers got there. Witnesses and surveillance photos indicate the man is in his late 50s or early 60s, 5’5” to 5’8” with grey hair and a heavy build, and he was wearing a white baseball cap, blue UNR sweatshirt and blue jeans. Anyone having any information is asked to contact the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

The new bakery will be more than 420,000 square feet and will be located in the North Valleys Commerce Center.

Early voting for the upcoming Primary Election begins Saturday. Washoe County has 21 early voting locations this year and polling locations are open seven days a week. The exact hours and locations of the early voting sites are available at the Registrar’s website. Washoe County Registrar Luanne Cutler says most sample ballots have been mailed. If registered voters have any questions about their sample ballot, they should contact the Washoe County Registrar of Voters Office at 328-3670.
