    A suspect in an March 4 robbery is back in custody at the Washoe County jail. Kevin Clausen, 51, was booked on charges of attempted robbery and murder as well as charges of battery causing substantial bodily harm with the use of a deadly weapon and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. Nancy Moreilli, the owner of the 7-Eleven at Wells Avenue and Cheney Street, was outside the store going to the bank to make a deposit when Clausen allegedly shot her. Witnesses saw him run down the road to a truck, and Reno police spotted him not long after.

    Governor Sandoval said recently that Congress needs to spend some money on the Wild Horse and Burro program nationally, so the BLM is now looking at science to find solutions. It's the first time since the Wild Horse and Burro Act was put in place in the 70's that scientists have taken a hard look at scientific data to make determinations on the future management of our horses. Greg Hendricks with the BLM says in the 70's, the BLM would adopt out over 8,000 horse a year, but now only around 2,000 are found forever homes.

The ACLU questioned whether they are constitutional, because some funds could end up at religious schools, but a judge has ruled in favor of ESA's. Michael Schaus at NPRI says its significant, because it directly effects individual students and families, not a system or a bureaucracy. He says this was never about subsidizing a religion or sect.
