Search and rescue teams about 4:00 this (Sunday) afternoon suspended the search for a man who reportedly fell into the Truckee River last (Saturday) night. At a little after 9:00 witnesses reported seeing a man fall into the Truckee River. Teams were called out and begin searching between the Virginia Street Bridge and Rock Park, but were forced to suspend the search because of water turbulence and bad visibility. They resumed the search at around 9:30 this morning, but have had no success. Investigators are looking into how the man may have fallen.

Sparks Police are searching for an Armed robbery suspect who held up the Jacksons Food Store located on the 1300 block of Baring Blvd around 5:30 a.m. yesterday morning. The suspect is described as a White Male in his 30's, approximately 5'5"-5'8", and 200lbs, wearing a mask covering his face, a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts and black tennis shoes. Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspect.

The Reno Fire Department Responded to a call of a man who either jumped of fell into the Truckee River just after 9 p.m. last night. Reno and Sparks fire along with the Washoe County Sheriff Office and Reno pd all responded and spent several hours searching the river. The search was called off late last night and resumed around 9:30 am this morning. So far searchers have gone from the Virginia Street bridge almost to Rock Park and have not found anyone.

Sean Carey led the citizens group that proposed the sales tax increase, and he is hoping voters will recognize the need and support it.

It's Fallen Officer's Memorial Month, and since 1791, more than 20,000 law enforcement officers have died in the line of duty. Every year we pay respects during the month of May. Dozens of family member's, local and state officials, and the public, came out to the James D. Hoff Peace Officer Memorial to honor a local deputy who was added to the memorial here in Reno, and will be added later this week to the one in Washington DC.
