  • 4/22/16 11 PM - Top of the Hour Newscast
    The Nevada Department of Corrections says a 49-year-old inmate died this (Friday) morning shortly before 7:00. Department officials say Julian Falcon died at the Regional Medical Facility in the Northern Nevada Correction Center in Carson City. Falcon was committed from Mineral County in May of 1993. He was serving 150 years on a variety of counts including sexual assault, kidnapping, administering a drug in commission of a felony, battery by a prisoner and use of a deadly weapon enhancement. The Carson City Sheriff's Office Coroner responded and an autopsy has been scheduled.

  • 4/22/16 10 PM - Top of the Hour Newscast
    A vehicle hit a Washoe County school bus about four this afternoon in Sun Valley, and fled the scene. There were no injuries. The bus had only one student and a driver when it was hit near the intersection of El Rancho Drive and Sun Valley Boulevard. Police are looking for a gold-colored Chevrolet sedan.

  • 4/22/16 9 PM - Top of the Hour Newscast
    A Carson City man was arrested Wednesday after a road rage incident involving a woman and two children. 21 year old Christian Johnson was traveling on 580 near College Parkway when an unidentified woman tried to merge into the fast lane. Johnson sped passed her in the lane, and then brake checked her a number of times, before waving a gun out the window at her. The woman, who was driving with two children in her car, was in fear for her life as Johnson continued to scream at her when he pulled along side her on Fairview Drive. She contacted police, who found Johnson at his home and took him into custody. The gun was recovered by deputies inside a container on the side of his house that also held gardening equipment.

  • 4/22/16 - 8 PM - Top of the Hour Newscast
    The Reno Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire in a home on Claremont Street. Reno Fire got a call about smoke in the area just before midnight last night. When they arrived they found smoke, but no fire. After further investigation crews found a broken water line in the basement which they say burst from the heat and then extinguished the fire. Two dogs died from smoke inhalation. One woman living in the home has been displaced. red cross is assisting.

  • 4/22/16 - 7 PM - Top of the Hour Newscast
    A 20-year-old man has been arrested following an armed robbery in the area of 100 Island. Reno Police were called to the area and were told by witnesses where the suspect might be located. After a search officers found 20-year-old Javier Godoy-Rufino at a residence on Court Street. Officers say he took off running, but was captured by a K-9 after a brief foot pursuit. Another K-9 located the firearm believed to have been used in the robbery. Godoy-Rufino was arrested for armed robbery and for possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
