The Fair Deal Market on Sullivan Lane & Greenbrae in Sparks was robbed yesterday just after noon. The clerk reported that an unknown black male adult held her at gunpoint, then grabbed cash and fled. Officers were nearby, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 6-feet tall, 175 pounds, and was wearing black pants and a black shirt, and a black hood or hat with a red bandana or something like it underneath. Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto is reacting after accusations against democratic congressman Ruben Kihuen . She says sexual harassment in any context is unacceptable. she says she is frustrated, disappointed, and disgusted by the stories she has learned from women and men who were harassed and disrespected by powerful men in government, entertainment, private business and media. She adds "I support a full, fair and expedient investigation against Congressman Kihuen and any other Member of Congress who have women or men come forward with allegations of inappropriate behavior. "

Sparks Police are giving us additional information in an incident Thursday in which a homeowner interrupted four men burglarizing his home. Police say the homeowner returned home a little after 1:00 Thursday afternoon to find four black men trying to load the victim's large gun safe into their vehicle. They say the homeowner confronted the suspects, but one of them threatened him with a handgun. The suspects got away, however police located the suspect vehicle and a chase followed. The suspect's vehicle crashed into another vehicle, and the suspects fled on foot. Officers were able to locate and arrest 21-year-old Raymond Banks of California, and 20-year-old Kayshawn Smith-Harper also from California. There werereports that one other suspect has been arrested, however, Sparks Police say the Regional Gang Unit has taken over the investigation and they're looking for two black men in their late teens or early 20s.
