The State of Nevada has freed a man who spent more than twenty years in prison for a murder he did not commit.

They say two men engaged in a gun battle near McCarran and Nichols that ended up in the Home Suites Apartment complex. One person was shot and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There's no word on that person's conditions. Officers on scene say all parties involved have been detained. They also say they've found several crashed vehicles, and it appears four or five vehicles were damaged by gunfire. Investigators say that multiple males and females were involved and it is too soon to say who was involved in what capacity.
