The execution of Scott Dozier has been stayed because of the drug cocktail that was going to be used to put the double killer to death.

Two men who victimized seniors have been given long prison terms. 49 year old Michael Lee Mullions was sentenced to 50 years, for beating and choking his 69 year old roommate. In a separate case 33 year old Dutch Cooper was sentenced to 29 years for grand larceny, robbery and burglary. He was a suspect on purse thefts at a casino that targeted older women. Hicks says he hopes sentences like this deter these kinds of crimes.

A group of teenagers has been hospitalized after rolling their SUV on Kings Canyon overnight. Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong says there were seven teenagers in the SUV when it rolled just before 11 p.m. The teenagers, all 16 or 17 years old, were transported to hospitals. Two of them were flown from the scene. Their injuries range from moderate to extreme.
