A man was killed after being struck by a car near Gardnerville last night. The crash happened on US-395 at Industrial Court at around 8:00pm. According to investigators, the man was laying in the roadway when he was struck by the car. He was pronounced dead on scene. Officers say the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and added that it would've been difficult for the driver to see someone in the middle of the road, as the roadway is dark. The man who was killed has not yet been identified.

Many of the high school football games under the Friday Night Lights are closely contested, and sometimes tempers flare. But we haven't seen anything recently like the game in Henderson last night.

A man was hit by an SUV and killed in North Las Vegas yesterday morning while trying to stop a theft suspect from getting away. About seven in the morning, a woman stole several items from a convenience store before getting into a Jeep Grand Cherokee with California plates. Police say a Good Samaritan tried to stop the woman but was struck by the Jeep. He later died at a hospital. His identity has not yet been released. Police say there were two people in the vehicle. They're investigating the incident as a homicide.

A Dayton man has been convicted of first degree murder, in the death of his sister in law. 56 year old James Hamrick was convicted in the shooting dead of 60 year old Toni Marie Davis. Both of them disappeared on April 28th, Davis's body was found three weeks later. The small caliber weapon used in the crime was also found. A Sentencing date is pending.

A Reno man made his initial appearance in federal court for allegedly engaging in a $3.5 million fraud scheme involving more than 8,000 fraudulent PayPal credit accounts, bank accounts, and prepaid credit and debit card accounts he created with stolen identities. 46-year-old Kenneth Gilbert Gibson was indicted on ten counts of wire fraud; three counts of mail fraud; ten counts of bank fraud; six counts of access device fraud; and six counts of aggravated identity theft.
