Washoe County Sheriff's Office says the man and a woman were hiking near Sand Harbor when he experienced some sort of health issue and may have become disoriented. The woman then walked to a nearby road where she got help.

Republican Assemblyman Ira Hansen said lawmakers have wasted too much time on "superfluous" measures such as the ERA. Democratic Assemblywoman and majority floor leader Teresa Benitez-Thompson said ratifying the ERA would be significant, saying "We're going to be sending a good, hearty statement from Nevada to our nation's capital about exactly what we think about women being equal" Monday is the deadline for lawmakers to introduce their bills.

The justices decided to uphold a voter-approved amendment to the state constitution that guarantees a base wage to Nevada workers. The court says federal regulations don't override the state constitution, and that the amendment does not promote arbitrary or discriminatory enforcement. The court found employers have enough notice about benefits they must provide to offer a lower wage in return for offering health insurance. The minimum wage is currently $7.25 if an employer provides health care, and $8.25 if not.

Carson City sheriff's detectives say Eric Buhl is a suspect in the death of two-and-a-half year old girl. Deputies and paramedics were called to a residence in the 100 block of Manzanita Terrace in North Carson City on Friday evening to a report that a child had fallen. They found Buhl administering C-P-R to Coahuyana Hernandez when they arrived. Paramedics began treating the toddler and rushed her to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. During the search of the home detectives reportedly found a pipe bomb in Buhl's bedroom. The Tahoe Douglas Bomb Squad deactivated the explosive and Buhl was taken into custody and charged with Felony Possession of an Explosive Device and Child Endangerment. The investigation into the girls death is continuing.
