Reno 1868 FC, the city's new professional soccer team, lost its inaugural friendly Saturday afternoon at Greater Nevada Field.

Parts of Pyramid lake have reopened to the public after weeks of closures. The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe reopened Beaches from North nets to Shot dog yesterday (Saturday), after extensive flood repairs to area roads. State route 446 which was severely damaged by flooding does remain closed along the southern edge of the lake, from Sutcliffe to Nixon. N-dot is re-paving the road and expects the road to reopen by Mid-March.

The Reno Police Department responded to a rollover accident in the North valleys area, near Blue Sage Ct. and Mt. Babcock St., at around 11:55 pm last night (SATURDAY). Arriving officers found one of the driver's deceased. The other driver appeared to be intoxicated. During the subsequent investigation it was determined that the driver of the striking vehicle was intoxicated, and speeding. Twenty one year old Matthew Ronald Svetlik has been booked for suspicion of driving under the influence. The victim of the crash has been identified as 21 year old, Reno resident, Danica Jensen. Anyone with information is asked to contact Reno pd or Secret witness.
