Governor Brian Sandoval delivered his "State of the State" Address last night, and suggests the remaking of the state into the New Nevada is only beginning.

Nevada has gone from a state confronting bad news daily, to a state that is growing jobs, and diversifying jobs and it's workforce.

Governor Brian Sandoval gave his final State of the State speech last night... and he was quite upbeat.

Sandoval, whose term ends in two years, touted improvement in education, job growth, and the development of the workforce, including the more than 200 companies that have come to Nevada since he was elected. He also announced Telsa's further investment in the Silver State

A police incident at the Nugget Resort has ended. Police say they were dealing with a "barricaded subject."

Another habitual criminal is going away for a long time. 52 year old Kevin Clausen of Reno has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, after being convicted of attempted murder and robbery. He was involved in a convenience store robbery that led to a woman being shot in the head. Clausen has a 30 year record of criminal activity, and had broken parole in the robbery case.

A 2 alarm fire tore through a business in Sparks early Tuesday, gutting the building.
