After the Washoe County Commission again rejected a marijuana dispensary in Spanish Springs at Pyramid and Eagle Canyon, commissioner Marsha Berkbigler blamed the state for the problem, and warned that the county would be sued over the issue.

Washoe County Commissioner Marsha Berkbigler blames the state legislature for putting the county in a pickle over marijuana dispensaries. The commission again rejected a location at Pyramid and Eagle Canyon Road. She says the state requires the county to approve six facilities, and the county's only choice was to either go with medical marijuana or completely ban it. She says lawsuits will follow the latest rejection.
