More than 13,000 passengers came and went from Reno-Tahoe International Airport on Wednesday. To help ease the stress of holiday travel, teams with the nonprofit Paws 4 Passengers were stationed throughout the airport. P-4-P's, Claudia Wiles, tells KOLO 8, the pooches are all about comfort.

Click It or Ticket is back, and being conducted throughout the Thanksgiving holiday weekend all over Northern Nevada. It's a statewide campaign by Washoe County and Carson City Sheriffs, Reno and Sparks Police, and the Nevada Highway Patrol to find drivers and their passengers who aren't wearing a seatbelt.

The American Farm Bureau says the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner for ten is down this year, and adjusted for inflation it's the lowest cost in the 31 years of the survey.

CNN is reporting multiple Nevada prison inmates are speaking up about a Hepatitis C epidemic inside corrections walls. Johanna Hud-nall is one of those inmates lobbying the Nevada Department of Corrections to diagnose and treat the disease. According to court documents and her lawyers, Hud-nall contracted the disease after being sexually assaulted by a prison guard. She claims Hep C-positive inmates cut, cook and prepare food that the entire prison eats, including prison guards and staff. Nevada Department of Corrections says it does not test for Hep C because the law doesn't require it, and doesn't know how many inmates have it. A local nonprofit called "N-V Cure" is looking to change that and add legislation that requires Nevada prisons to test for it like HIV.

Reno Police are investigating a shooting fatality at the East Second Street Walmart in Reno. They're saying the incident began a little after 6 o'clock this evening at the Walmart on Second Street. The shooting reportedly took place in the driveway leaving the Walmart, apparently following a road rage incident. Police are asking for the public's help finding a dark-colored Toyota Camry or Corolla. The vehicle likely has damage to one of the side windows as well as damage to the brake or taillights. The driver is described as a light-skinned black male. The car was last seen headed west on East Second Street from the Walmart.

Sparks Police are looking for a man they say went missing Wednesday night. Justin Massler was taken to Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services on Galletti Way, after running away from the area before being admitted. Police say Massler has a long history of severe mental illness and also has a tendency to be violent. He may be staying in areas common to the homeless, and there is also a chance he has left the area. Massler is 6'2, 175 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He also has facial hair. Massler is not wanted at this time, but if he is seen you're asked to call Sparks Police or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

What started as a road rage incident at the East Second Street Walmart in Reno Thanksgiving evening turned into a fatality, according to Lt. Scott Shaw of the Reno Police Department. One person is dead in the incident that started shortly after 6:00 last evening at the Walmart on East 2nd St. There was apparently a dispute over a parking spot. The homicide happened in the driveway leaving the Walmart going to East Second Street. There happened to be an officer in the area who heard shots fired, but it was not an officer-involved shooting, Shaw said. Several agencies responded and the westbound lane of East Second Street remained closed until late Thanksgiving night for the investigation. Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a dark-colored Toyota Camry or Corolla, Shaw said. There should be damage to one of the side windows as well as possible damage to the brake lights or taillights. He also added that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is also conducting an investigation and jurisdiction will be determined later. Anyone with information is asked to call Reno police Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
