The family of missing 15-year-old Cassy Kauffman of Sun Valley is now offering a $1,000 reward for credible information that will help the ongoing investigation to locate her. Cassy Kauffman was first reported missing Saturday, November 5th.

South Lake Tahoe Police say they've arrested a man after a second confirmed food contamination case was reported at a business on the south shore. Detectives, through collaboration with Raley’s security personnel, were able to identify the suspect as 43 year-old Harry Dally. On November 20th, officers responded to a report of possible food tampering at the Baja Fresh salsa bar, similar to the methods used at the Raley’s supermarket in the same shopping center. Police say there was a strong bleach type odor in the salsa at the self-serve salsa bar. Police learned that similar incidents had occurred at Baja Fresh in in the previous two weeks, but the restaurant didn't report them until hearing about the Raley's incident. A 12-year-old reported feeling sick after eating at the restaurant. He was treated for symptoms related to food poisoning and released.

A Reno man has been arrested in the death of an Oklahoma man found dead in his burning home. Russell Dunlap was arrested for first-degree murder, first-degree arson, kidnapping and a weapons charge. The charred body of Jerry Essary was discovered early Tuesday inside his burning home in Sayre, Oklahoma. Essary's wife told investigators she witnessed Essary's death and fled before the house was set on fire. Dunlap was found unresponsive nearby. He's in a hospital under guard.

An 8-year-old girl was hit by a car while using the crosswalk on Wells Avenue at the I-80 eastbound onramp. Reno Police say the crash happened around 7:50 last night . The driver was traveling southbound on Wells Avenue and turned eastbound onto 80, hit the girl and drove off. The family of the girl was walking behind her and says the pedestrian walk sign was illuminated at the time of the crash. The girl was taken to Renown with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect vehicle is a newer Grey 4-door Jeep Wrangler with a spare tire on the back, tinted windows and a black molding.

Mail fraud charges are being pressed against 51-year old Angela Fischer, She's accused of illegally gaining access to the account of a resident living at Reno Valley Retirement Center. Fischer was an employee of the center at the time. According to the federal complaint she had his checks sent directly to her--sometimes at a location where she was vacationing. The man has been diagnosed with dementia, and had agreed to Fischer's request to handle his finances. The indictment says the incidents happened between November 7, 2014 and June 20, 2016.

Click It or Ticket is back, and being conducted throughout the Thanksgiving holiday weekend all over Northern Nevada. It's a statewide campaign by Washoe County and Carson City Sheriffs, Reno and Sparks Police, and the Nevada Highway Patrol to find drivers and their passengers who aren't wearing a seatbelt. The campaign runs from now until December 10th, and besides looking for those who aren't strapped in, they also be on the hunt for drunk and distracted drivers, as well as kids who aren't in car seats. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says over 12,000 lives were saved in 2013 because people chose to wear their seatbelts.
