The Civil Air Patrol-California Wing is searching for a missing aircraft southwest of Lake Tahoe. The Civil Air Patrol-California Wing is working with the El Dorado County Sheriff's office but are not flying due to poor weather in the search area. The aircraft is returning to the Sacramento area from Idaho with a single pilot on-board has been reported overdue. The last known position of the aircraft is in a rugged area of the Sierra Nevada Mountains southwest of Lake Tahoe.

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval declared a State of Emergency for Washoe County after a fire burned 22 homes and 17 outbuildings near Washoe Valley. An estimated 70 to 100 people still have homes standing in the Washoe Valley area but are not being let back in due to the safety concerns. The Little Valley fire is holding at 3,400 acres and is 20 percent contained. The tentative plans are to let people who had homes destroyed back in on Monday afternoon to survey their homes.

As many as 100 people still have homes standing in the Washoe Valley area but are not being allowed back in because of safety concerns. The Little Valley fire is holding at about 3,400 acres and is now 55 percent contained. Tentative plans are to let people who had homes destroyed back in on Monday afternoon to survey their homes while people with homes still standing can go in Tuesday to survey damage to their homes.

On Saturday evening at around 6:30, Sparks Police were investigating a Domestic Battery and determined enough probable cause existed for an arrest. A couple of hours later the suspect was located in the 1200 block of Coachman Drive, in Sparks. Officers tried to arrest the suspect and there was a struggle before the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect lost consciousness shortly afterward. Medical aid was provided and the suspect was taken to a local hospital where the suspect was declared dead.

Sparks Patrol officers were called to the area of 10th and C St., to a report of a Robbery On Friday a little after four in the morning. The victim told officers a man on a mountain bike with a gun, approached and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect cash; and the man headed north on 10th St. towards Prater Way. The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male adult, 20-30 years old, wearing a green zippered jacket and jeans, riding a black mountain bike.

The Little Valley fire destroyed 22 homes and 17 outbuildings but firefighters were able to save 480 other homes from damage. The fire is holding at about 3,400 acres and is now 55 percent contained with full containment expected on Wednesday in the early evening. Tentative plans are to let people who had homes destroyed back in tomorrow afternoon to survey their homes. Displaced residents who will be allowed to visit homes will be contacted directly by the Washoe County Sheriff's office. Re-entry safety guidelines require coordination with fire management officials, law enforcement and utility companies before the area can be re-populated safely. The UNR Equestrian Center, for large animals, and Fuji Park in Carson City, also large animals remain open. Personnel fighting the fire have been reduced to fewer than 700.

Crews were able to walk the perimeter of the Emerald fire on Saturday and determined that it has burned around 176 acres.

The Little Valley fire has burned an estimated 3,460 acres and is now 20% contained.
