The Bureau of Land Management says the Virginia Mountain Complex of five fires is 100 percent contained. Sierra Front says firefighters checked the perimeter, of the Anderson and Tule Fires, which are still burning but not spreading, and a burn area emergency response team is coming in to assess the damage, and get rehabilitation efforts underway, with the goal of limiting erosion, and stopping the spread of noxious weeds. The estimated total acreage of the five fires is about 62 thousand acres. The fires were sparked by lightning July 28th, about 35 miles north of Reno.
