    The Sparks Fire is now fully contained. The fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon scorched more than 25 hundred acres, burning above the area between Northern Nevada Medical Center and the Sparks "S". Business at the hospital was un-interrupted. The once fast moving fire mostly burned light grass and brush uphill, away from structures. Sparks Fire, Reno Fire and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District all joined the fight, with air and land support from the Nevada Division of Forestry. RAVEN reported dropping 11,421 gallons of water in 47 drops. Three boys seen in the area when the fire started are being sought for questioning about the blaze.

    Three boys are being sought for questioning in the fire that started on a hillside east of Sparks Wednesday. They were seen in the area around the Sparks "S" behind the Northern Nevada Medical Offices about the time the fire started. They are described as between the ages of 12 and 15 years old. One was white with blonde hair and about 5’9”. The other two were darker skinned and 5’5” to 5’8”. They all wore backpacks and were seen between 12:30 and 1:45PM. They were reportedly picked up from Pagni (Pawn-yee) Park in an older silver Mercedes SUV. If you have any information, you're asked to contact the Sparks Fire Department. The fire blackened more than 25 hundred acres, and is contained.
