Kokoda Track

The ever smiling Maxine popped into the Adventure Professionals office in Brisbane this week on her way back to the West Coast. It was great to sit and chat all things Kokoda. :-) From a major injury and operation to making the decision to cross the Kokoda Track. This is an inspiring story of overcoming obstacles to achieve your bucket list items.

This week I dropped into Facebook HQ in Sydney to interview Dave Fernandez who completed the Kokoda Track in a six day crossing with the 98 Gym team in July this year. Dave is a great bloke who was the life of the party along the track so we re-live some of those moments including what is no known as Speedo-Gate or the 'Speedo Incident'. Heaps of laughs and great tips on trekking the Kokoda Track this week. :-) www.adventureprofessionals.com.au

I'm in between Kokoda Track adventures and wanted to pop in and answer some questions I had around packing lists. Specifically as to why some lists differ so here it is. Enjoy. :-)

This week I had a great chat with Marty Vasterink who has a unique connection to the Kokoda Track that he didn't know about until just before he took on the challenge to trek the track.

Ross Thompson spent a few years at school Lae, PNG so definitely had an infinity for the place. This was cemented even further after trekking the Kokoda Track. Gary Campbell dropped into the Project 180 studio this week and chatted about his Kokoda Track experience from ANZAC 2019. It was a great chat and we dug deep on the how's and why's behind the Kokoda Track experience.

This week I chat to Ash English who is one of the rare breed who treks Kokoda more than once. We chat about the differences in his experiences and why he wants to go again. There's a lot of great content in this weeks chat. I hope you enjoy this episode.
