Brooke Kalman is preparing for her second season as the head softball coach at Drexel University. In her first, she more than quadrupled the Dragons win total from 5 to 22 and had the Dragons on the brink of qualifying for the Coastal Athletic Association Tournament. Kalman, a Penncrest High School product, had previously enjoyed success as a head coach at Division III stops Ripon, MIT and her alma mater, Gettysburg.

The Division III Widener University football team is coming off a 4-6 2025 campaign (3-6 in the Middle Atlantic Conference) and the Pride will kick off 2026 in Western Pennsylvania, taking on Geneva College on Saturday in Beaver Falls at 3:00pm. The 2025 season was an important one for the University of Delaware football team. It was the first season for the Blue Hens as an FBS program and they made an impact, going 7-6 (4-4 in Conference USA) and winning the 68 Ventures Bowl, grabbing a 20-13 decision over Louisiana. The Division III Rowan University football team is coming off a very successful 8-2-1 2025 season (5-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference) that culminated with a 26-20 win over Utica in the 2025 ECAC Asa S. Bushnell Bowl. The Profs are looking for more success here in the 2026 season which they will kickoff on Friday night, at home, against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at 6:00pm. The Delaware Valley University Aggies have a new head coach. Bill Zwaan Jr. has taken over the program after a long run as an assistant at West Chester University. The Aggies went 8-3 in 2025 (7-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference) and they will kickoff the 2026 campaign on the road at Ursinus on Friday night, September 4th at 7:00 pm. The Villanova University football team is coming off a fantastic 2025 season that saw them go 12-3 and advance all the way to the FCS National Semifinals. The Wildcats are hoping for big things again here in 2026 as they settle in to a new home in the Patriot League after making the move from the Coastal Athletic Association. This will be the first season of college football for Salem Community College down in Carneys Point, New Jersey. While the program is new, the man building it is a very familiar face in local college football circles. It's Jay Accorsi, who spent more than two decades as the head coach of Division III Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey before retiring in April of 2024. The first game in Mighty Oaks history will be Saturday, August 29th at Pennsville High School against Hudson Valley Community College.
