Antes de eso, hablamos sobre un par de estrenos interesantes liderados por el rey de taquilla en las últimas semanas, Godzilla vs. Kong (2:06). Por el lado de la música, muchos movimientos en el UK Official Singles Chart y muchas recomendaciones que les trajo Lilia de #newmusicfriday (8:38).

Ya hablando de música, en este episodio nos enfocamos en dos tópicos: (1) HYBE, empresa detrás del fenómeno mundial BTS, adquiriendo a Ithaca Holdings, empresa liderada por Scooter Braun y (2) el concierto experimental que se realizó en Barcelona el 27 de marzo en donde se juntaron 5000 personas (con mascarilla pero sin distanciamiento social) para mirar a la banda Love of Lesbian (19:35).

Welcome, everyone. How’s everyone doing? A new episode, but we are still talking about music.

Before that, we talked about a couple of interesting releases led by the movie that has been dominating the box office lately, Godzilla vs. Kong (4:28). On the music side, a lot of movements in the UK Official Singles Chart and a lot of recommendations brought you by our lovely Lilia (12:02).

Speaking about music, this episode we focused on two topics: (1) HYBE, company behind global phenom BTS, acquiring Ithaca Holdings, company led by Scoot Braun and (2) and an experimental concert that took place in Barcelona, Spain on March 27th that gathered 5,000 people (with masks but no social distancing) to see Spanish rock band Love of Lesbian (27:57).

¡Buenas, buenas! ¿Cómo les va? Como mucho ha estado pasando en la industria de la música nosotros decidimos quedarnos por acá una semana más.

Para arrancar con el episodio, tuvimos un par de estrenos muy interesantes y muy esperados de series y películas. Dos de ellos, La Liga de la Justicia de Zack Snyder (#snydercut) y Falcón y el Soldado del Invierno de Marvel (1:51). Si la semana pasada les dejamos nuestras opiniones acerca de los Grammys, esta semana analizamos los números impresionantes sobre la industria de la música que fueron divulgados la semana pasada. Estos incluyen, el total de ingresos generados, streaming, el big three (Sony, Universal y Warner) perdiendo cuota de mercado y artistas independientes generando cada vez más dinero (23:30).

Welcome, everyone. How’s everyone doing? Since there’s been a lot happening within the music industry, we decided to also stay here for another week.

To begin with this episode, a couple of very interesting and highly anticipated movie and TV show releases with Zack Snyder’s Justice League (#snydercut) and Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier leading the pack (2:09). Music-wise, a lot of movements in the UK Official Singles Chart while Lilia brought you a whole lot of album and song recommendations (13:57).

If last week we share our thoughts on the Grammys, this week we analyzed some of the impressive numbers and projections from the global recorded music market that we revealed last week. Those include total revenue generated, streaming, the big three (Sony, Universal, and Warner) losing market share, and independent artists generating more money than ever (29:25).

Sin embargo, aunque que en este episodio nos enfocamos casi 100% en música, les dejamos algunas recomendaciones de serie y películas lanzadas la semana pasada como ¡Hoy Sí!, de Netflix, y Cherry, de Apple TV+ (1:52). ¡Buenas, buenas! ¿Cómo les va? Un nuevo mes y una nueva plataforma de streaming lanzada.

Algunas películas interesantes fueron lanzadas la semana pasada: Moxie en Netflix, Un Príncipe de Nueva York 2 en Amazon Prime y Raya y el Último Dragón en Disney+ (1:29). En la música, como siempre, Lilia les trajo sugerencia sugerencias muy interesantes de álbumes y sencillos y tuvimos algunos movimientos interesantes en el UK Official Singles Chart (9:41).

Volviendo a la conversación sobre la guerra del streaming después de algunos episodios, esta semana les hablamos sobre Paramount+, el nuevo servicio de streaming de ViacomCBS que pretende retar a los principales jugares con su enorme catálogo. Además de eso, también comentamos sobre el hecho de que algunos analistas ya prevén a Disney+ superando a Netflix en el número de suscritos para el 2026 (22:22).

Welcome, everyone. How’s everyone doing? Another month and another subscription video-on-demand platform that gets launched.

A couple of interesting movie releases happening last week such as Netflix’s Moxie, Amazon Prime’s Coming 2 America, and Disney+ Raya and the Last Dragon (2:36). Music-wise, as always, interesting suggestions that Lilia brought to you guys and some interesting moves in the UK Official Singles Chart (12:59).

Back to the streaming wars conversation after a couple of episodes, we now spoke about Paramount+, ViacomCBS's new streaming service that hopes to challenge the biggest players with its vast library of content. Also, we commented on the fact that some analysts are already forecasting that Disney+ will surpass Netflix in subscribing numbers by 2026 (27:49).

¡Buenas, buenas! ¿Cómo les va? Otra semana de mucha emoción, pero esta vez porque juntamos nostalgia y celebración para charlar todo el episodio sobre Pokémon.

En los estrenos, una serie muy interesante (Ginny y Georgia), un documental sobre un ícono del fútbol (Pelé) y muchas otras películas (1:37). En la música, muchos álbumes y muchos sencillos, pero sin muchos movimientos en los UK Official Singles Chart (7:59).

Ya hablando de Pokémon, nos dimos un repaso por estos maravillosos 25 años desde el lanzamiento de las versiones roja y azul para Game Boy, Pokémon Stadium para Nintendo 64, tazos hasta Pokémon Go. Concluimos el tema charlando del concierto interactivo que organizó la empresa y que fue protagonizado por Post Malone (19:00).

Welcome, everyone. Another exciting week. This time, however, because we combined nostalgia and celebration to chat the entire episode about Pokémon.

For the releases, one very interesting TV show (Ginny & Georgia), a documentary about a soccer icon (Pelé), and a couple of other movies (5:02). On the music side, many albums and singles, but not so many movements in the UK Official Singles Chart (12:26).

Shifting the conversation into Pokémon, we did a good run through these amazing 25 years since the launching of the red and blue versions for Game Boy, Pokémon Stadium for Nintendo 64, tazos, until Pokémon Go. We concluded the episode talking about the interactive concert that the company organized that was performed by Post Malone (26:22).
