Thereafter, we move to give you some more updates, but now from the gaming industry, from business decisions to eSports (14:28). Keeping things a little geeky, we talked about San Diego Comic-Con, its cancellation and economic impact (22:58). Finally, we brought you the “All In Challenge,” another movement created to raise funds to help COVID-19 related causes (29:07). However, this one provides some very interesting options. As for our weekly movie recommendation, we brought a 2x1 this week with Sergio and Love Wedding Repeat, both on Netflix (38:27). A new for week us at La Campana, and we are thankful to still have subjects to talk about. Similar to last week, we did the run through the music charts in the UK (Official Singles Chart) and put the Billboard Hot 100 updates on our Instagram (2:15). Thereafter, Lilia told us some of the many new releases from last weekend (3:05). This week, we start our agenda talking about Lady Gaga and her latest ventures, still within the entertainment industry, but now working towards raising money for COVID-19 related causes (4:28). Shifting to the film industry, we talked about some of the film festivals––canceled, postponed, and upcoming––and how each one is reacting to this situation (19:58). Finally, still in the movie industry, we dove a little bit more into movie releases on video-on-demand and a little update on the movie theater business (28:38). As our movie recommendation, another Netflix original. However, this time, we go for LA Originals, a documentary on Estevan Oriol and Mister Cartoon (38:45). Therefore, we move straight to our music charts run through starting with the UK (Official Singles Chart) followed by the US (Billboard Hot 100) (2:10). Also, as always, Lilia gives you some new music recommendations (3:43). As the first subject of this week’s agenda, we talked about the Tokyo Olympics’ postponement, the new dates, and its economic impact (4:55). Although we are still without sports events, we brought you some solidarity acts that athletes, teams, and people linked to this business have done to help those affected by the virus (12:27). Moving on to our third subject, we discussed how this situation impacted radio consumption and compared it to the decrease in plays felt by music streaming platforms (20:06). Following the streaming lane, we commented on how artists, entities, and companies are embracing the “live” sessions in platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and YouTube, apart from spending more time on TikTok (26:29). Lastly, but still mingled in the streaming world, we talked about Disney+ and its recent launch overseas as well as how this impacts the “streaming wars” (32:25). On the bright side, we were still able to give you a run through the music charts both in the UK (Official Singles Chart) and in the US (Billboard Hot 100), plus Lilia brought us new music recommendations (2:10). To kick off our agenda, we spoke about the cancellation of festival behemoth Glastonbury, in the UK, a little bit of its history, the number of people it usually draws, and its economic impact (4:10). Still, in the music industry, we discussed the new albums that came out this past weekend such as The Weeknd’s After Hours, J Balvin’s Colores, Adam Lambert’s Velvet, and a special shout out to Mac Miller’s deluxe version of Circles (10:25). Moving into sports, we gave the latest news involving the NFL, Tom Brady, and some hot signings (18:27). Talking about games, but now video games, we talked about DOOM Eternal, some resemblances and updates in comparison to its 2016 version (24:40). Finally, we briefed you on what the European Union, as well as other areas, have requested Netflix, what the streaming giant has done to help its industry, and the negative impact suffered by the movie theater business (31:05). In our weekly movie recommendation segment, Lilia suggested Hulu’s Big Time Adolescence whereas Gui gave a couple of movies currently available on Netflix (38:38).
