Il cinema italiano ha la sua "notte da Oscar" con tanto di statuetta d'oro come premio per il miglior film, i migliori attori protagonisti, la migliore scenografia etc.
Questi premi si chiamano "David di Donatello", perché la statuetta è una riproduzione della famosa statua in bronzo di Donatello "Il David" (conservata a Firenze nel Museo Nazionale del Bargello).

Italian cinema has its "Oscar night" with a gold statuette as an award for the best film, the best leading actors, the best scenography, etc.
These awards are called "David di Donatello" because the statuette is a reproduction of "Il David", the famous bronze statue by Donatello (preserved in Florence in the Bargello National Museum).
