Enchanté!  I’m Anne “Stuart” Folkes, sometimes known as ASF.  Based sometimes in Paris, most of the time in Provence, and every now and again in the USA and the United Kingdom.  I am an instructor, writer, chef, traveler, and avid learner. 

Lover of all things artistic and historic, I left my career in international business to live the life I’d always imagined in France.  In America, they call it the “Great Resignation,”  but I believe in the rest of the world it’s simply called living. 

After graduating with my Diplôme de Cuisine and a Diplôme de Gastronomy, Nutrition, and Food Trends at the renowned institution Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, recently awarded the #1 Culinary School in the world, I began my own business here in France.  Now my days are filled with work as a professional private chef, caterer, and cooking instructor.

Prior to this, I worked in Global Grocery Procurement,  traveling the world to source the best products and ingredients, and gaining an understanding of the food chain, international culinary logistics, and its impact on societies and environment along the way. As a Texan expat who’s lived in Italy, the United Kingdom, and France, I believe that learning to cook as as innate as it is joyful.

Bonjour ! I am Lucille Pialot, a French Fashion designer from the South of France. Aujourd’hui I am going to share with you my story and present my Provençal lifestyle brand Pastisse.

I believe that our Love memories are treasurable and Pastisse is about sharing my passion.

With Pastisse, Lucille Pialot shares her personal story and her endless Passion for French Textiles. Deeply marked by her childhood in Provence and her unique weaving family craftsmanship heritage, Lucille’s mission is to preserve and pass on her savoir-faire to the future generations.

Through her designs and collections, Lucille Pialot builds authentic stories around her Provencal inspirations. The Mediterranean culture of getting together is central in her vision. With Pastisse, she wants to encourage kindness and attention to always bring you positive emotions.

Pastisse is a print and color brand. Pastisse is the artistic expression of Lucille Pialot and her Joie de Vivre. Years of studio experience in the luxury industry and a rich textile family history helped Lucille Pialot to develop a very personal creative vision and a real technical expertise. She imagines stories made of patterns and prints for a variety of Textile objects. The color combinations and her modern drawing style are the reflection of her aesthetic universe. Each pattern is drawn by hand, imagined as a unique and treasurable painting.

For Pastisse, Lucille Pialot combines her story of an authentic beauty of the South with a modern design practice, focusing on bringing a positive social and environmental contribution to the community. Pastisse is about navigating between tradition and modernity, to create beauty and good, meaningfully.

Pastisse is simply about Love and celebrations. Deeply attached to relationships, Lucille values self-love and care for others. Inspired by the generous hosting culture and the lifestyle of Provence, she creates Textiles that encourage one another to spend meaningful moments together. 

With Pastisse she wants to encourage you to be creative and find your own inspiration. Pastisse is about creating your personal story.

David Wallace was born January 5, 1988 in Weisbaden, Germany while his father, Chris, served in the US Army. In 1993, the family moved to Minneapolis, MN where David was raised and lived the next 25 years. During his youth, he enjoyed playing sports, particularly ice hockey and developed an interest in music trying both piano and alto sax before choosing guitar at age 12. David attended Benilde – St. Margaret’s High School in St. Louis Park, MN where he graduated with honors before obtaining a Business-Entrepreneurship degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2010.

After completing his studies, David began working as a financial advisor with Principal Financial Group. He enjoyed some moderate success but never felt fulfilled in this industry. While working in this corporate position, David rekindled a passion and love for playing the guitar which had always remained a hobby but never anything serious. Then, in 2015, after purchasing his first home in St. Louis Park, MN, David took a leap of faith and decided to abandon a promising career in financial services to take out student debt in pursuit of a less than promising career in music.

David began performing live while still under the guitar performance studies program at the now closed McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN. Immediately following the school’s closure, David took the opportunity to relocate residency to Paris, France where he had recently been spending time and establishing a professional network. Now fluent in French, David has lived in the French capital since January 2018 performing with a wide variety of other local professionals. While primarily performing in bars, restaurants and cafes, David is also frequently hired for ensemble work for weddings and other private events in addition to exclusive performances for various ClubMed locations. David performed as a guitar duo with French guitarist Charly Solo at the 2019 TanJazz Fest held in Tanger, Morocco. David regularly returns to Minneapolis where he continues to perform and support the local artistic community that has given so much to him and launched him into a world he never even thought possible.

In his time David enjoys staying active with sports, biking and fitness, music production, learning languages, reading the Bible and most of all practicing his guitar.

Clara Lang-Ezekiel is a Franco-American visual artist born and raised in Toulouse, France. In 2019 she earned her MFA from Kingston School of Art in London, having previously completed an MFA at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland, and a BA in both Studio Art and History from Denison University in Ohio. She is primarily a screen printer but uses a variety of other media in her work including drawing, bookmaking, printmaking, installation, collaging, and digital art. 

She has curated and exhibited work in the United-States, the Netherlands, Scotland, England, and France. Her portrait of Josephine Baker was exhibited in the residence of the American ambassador for the gala honouring Baker’s entry into the Pathéon. She has curated several shows, the most recent of which were Let’s Talk About SEXism, Paris au Pluriel, and Fais-moi Rêver, in Paris. The next show her work will be featured in is Itinérances  which she is also curating.

Solène Debiès is a french illustrator and designer who was born in Brest. After having studied graphic arts in Nantes, she chose the illustration domain in the early 2000s and developed alongside her taste for travelling. We can find her colourful characters in french and international news magazines, in publishing and in different creative projects such as exhibitions and object shows.

She now divides her time between Nantes, Paris and the world where she draws and travels with her family several months each year.
