Augusta Sagnelli is an American photographer living in France. She shot her first roll of film when she was hardly thirteen years old on her dad’s Nikon F2a, and knew from then she wanted to be a photographer. Augusta studied at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California. Augusta’s professional photography career developed during her years living in New Orleans shooting for brands, magazines, and private clients. Augusta moved to Paris in March 2021 after spending the covid lockdown falling in love with another Paris based artist. (Samuél Lopez-Barrantes whom you already interviewed!) Since relocating, she has shifted from a commercial heavy client list to a more personal and artistic approach to her photography, focusing on portraiture and alternative print processing.

Artist and Author Jamika  Ajalon is a self discribed INTERZONAL artist.  She has been published in many anthologies and journals including Speculative City and Lit Hub. Her novel Skye Papers came out in the summer of 2021,  to good review (including New York Times and Kirkus Review)  Her poetry and lyrics have manifested in more than a dozen albums, including the newly released , REBOOTED (jamika & the argonauts 2022). She has also collaborated with many acclaimed artists, , most recently as interpreter/performer of text with Ali Cherri on his Venice Biennale award winning piece Of Men and Gods and Mud ( 2022), and as dialogue writer on Shu Lea Cheng's soon to be released film UKI , (tba 2022). As an interdisciplinary artist she works with mixed mediums including digital audio visual elements. Most recently she has finished an experimental sonic poetry ep: "FUGITIVE" (TBA 2022)based on her book of poetry Take Back The Narrative (published 2017). Last year (2020/21) her single screen sonic video ALCHEMY OF CUTS was a part of the Witches Expo at the CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTS, Berlin. She also has been giving audio visual performative lectures she calls "Anti Lectures" for over a decade. The next one will be based on the themes broached in her novel Skye Papers : She has been invited to present  at St Étienne, France Biennale "Globalista" and UCLA ( oct tba 2022). She is also currently on tour with a Paris based modular jazz/ poetry ensemble "Baldwin In Transit": a fluid collaboration between French musicians and Black Amerikan expats poets, inspired by the work of James Baldwin. ​Matt Jones has penned poems and prose in Afghanistan, China, Nicaragua, France, Canada and on a warship. He was the winner of Arc Poetry Magazine’s Poem of the Year Reader’s Choice Award for his poem, “Wounded Village.” His story, “Drone,” was recently published in F(r)iction magazine. Today, Matt is writing books and enjoying the Parisian Bohemia.

Once I drove warships through fields of icebergs, and sent helicopters to rescue dying soldiers; it was always about the story. In this website, hard-won experience is bolstered by magic. Check out the blog section for thoughts on fitness, writing, leadership, masculinity, and other topics that seize me. 

It’s possible to help others, build community, and achieve personal mastery. 

Since retiring from the military I’ve grown my hair long, written, hosted, workshopped, taught, performed, and organized poetry festivals in Canada, Afghanistan, China, Nicaragua, London, and Paris. My novel, DRONES, is forthcoming from TouchPoint Press. 

Now that Paris is home, I teach at the French War College, run a free monthly writing workshop, and organize a fitness club for exercise enthusiasts who meet in the woods and use the trees as barbells: the Log Club.

Kristin Sanders is an American poet, freelance copywriter, and educator. She is the author of the hybrid poetry book Cuntry, a finalist for the 2015 National Poetry Series, and two poetry chapbooks: Orthorexia, and This is a map of their watching me, a finalist in the 2015 BOAAT Chapbook Competition. Her poetry has been recently included in Prose Poetry: An Introduction (Princeton University Press) and an international anthology of prose poetry, Alcatraz (Gazebo Books). Her essays and reviews have been published in Longreads, LitHub, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Bitch Magazine, and The Guardian, among other places. She holds an MFA in poetry from Louisiana State University and has taught writing at American universities for 15 years. Originally from Santa Maria, California, she is currently based in Paris, France.

Carrie Chappell is the author of Loving Tallulah Bankhead (Paris Heretics 2022) and Quarantine Daybook (Bottlecap Press 2021). Her poems have been published in Iron Horse Literary Review, Nashville Review, Redivider, SWIMM, and Yemassee, and her essays have previously appeared in DIAGRAM, Fanzine, New Delta Review, The Iowa Review, The Rumpus, The Rupture, and Xavier Review.
