At this point, we’re basically “giant animals attack” movie connoisseurs so why not add to the pile with a turn-of-the-century horror comedy take on the genre? LAKE PLACID (1999) has a stacked cast and the legendary Stan Winston Studios doing sfx, but they seemingly forgot one key ingredient to make it all work - actual funny jokes. Oh well, we’re still here for some crocodile carnage, and we get a ton of it. Plus Betty White is in it!
