Today we’re very excited to present the newest addition to our growing LAMP family. Palisades is the collaborative creative vision of Los Angeles based producers and songwriters Damon Steele and Gianni Carter. Sonically, Palisades is a culmination of classic and contemporary styles of dance music like house, disco and funk, synthesized with elements of hip hop and r&b. The end result is a sound that is both undeniably fresh and timeless, inspired in equal parts by all-time greats like George Clinton, Herbie Hancock, Earth Wind & Fire, and today’s most visionary artists like Kaytranada, Disclosure, Goldlink, and Sonder.

Their guest mix takes you on a journey through their diverse stylistic palette and gives immersive insight into their unique brand of dance music. Effortlessly blending tracks from across the spectrum of all things funky, while sneaking in some of their own production, Palisades give us glimpse into what this prolific duo has in store for the future. So sit back, relax and enjoy the silky smooth sounds of Palisades.

We are going to bring it back to the LAMP family this week for weekly mix #242. Last year Yosi joined the LAMP crew and has been working hard for us developing his own music style along the way. He has a wide palette when it comes to house and techno but it is quite obvious from his mix this week where his heart lies. Bordering on the melodic side of techno Yosi brings a lot of soul and careful thought to his mixes. This week he takes us on a great adventure that builds wonderfully as the mix ebbs and flows with each coming tide taking the energy level up just a little further until we reach the final destination. Sit back and enjoy the journey with this one and check back later in the week at www.losangelesmusicproject.com for the full track list. Enjoy

This week we have producer and label owner YENI joining us for the mix. Earlier this year you may remember a track we premiered from her label Cyborgs In Love. The East German producer and DJ has gotten her label off to a great start since it launched just over a year ago, and it has been an eventful summer for her with the release of We Are Cyborgs Vol. 1 and her recent single with Drumcomplex "Go". We will have more from YENI later this week over on the website including the complete track list and our weekly interview conducted by PZB. For now get lost in your head for a bit and enjoy this incredible mix she put together for us. Cheers!

A couple of weeks ago we caught up with @christiansmith, founder of Tronic and prolific techno producer in his own right. MR PUZL sat down with the Christian at his hotel to talk all things past, present and future in his notable career.

Excited to have Sebastian Ledher joining us this week on the series. Originally from Colombia Sebastian has spent nearly the last decade in Spain where he has put together a solid resume. Over the years he has put his DJing skills to work across the globe in addition to supporting pretty much every major player in the game. His catalog is massive covering many of the top labels including Deeperfect, Natura Viva, Nervous and many more including a brand new one coming out on Get Physical just a few days ago. Sit back and let Sebastian take you on a little journey and make sure to come over the website (www.losangelesmusicproject.com) later this week for a full interview with our featured guest put together by PZB. Enjoy.

This week we are happy to have Micah Smith back here in the mix for us at LAMP. Previously as a member of Sunset Groove he comes back to us on his own this time to bring us a fantastic mix of disco, house, funk and soul that will set you on a fantastic voyage to the land of I don't have a care in the world! The LA native has been working hard in the local music scene here working with a crack team of musicians and all around awesome people to run the Understated brand. A local crew that specializes in putting together A list talent at typically undisclosed locations around the city. In addition Understated is also a record label that has been doing a wonderful job of showcasing local artists over the last year or so. You can usually catch Micah at any of the Understated shows along with his many club gigs he pops up at between Sound, Union, all the DTLA warehouses and everywhere in between. Pretty excited to share this weeks mix with you from Japan's Risa Taniguchi. Also known as DJ RS she has taken her own country down the Techno rabbit hole and is now set to share her talents with the rest of the world. In addition to her own label on which she has several top notch releases she has recently set about the rest of the world with recent releases on Lyase Recordings was quickly followed up by her debut EP for Clash Lion, 'Ambush'. We have certainly been taken by surprise as well and most pleasantly.
