趙顔という少年が麦打ちをしていると、通りがかった旅人から「おまえは長生きできぬ」と告げられる。

少年は父親と共に旅人を馬で追い、なんとかならぬかと頼み込んだ。

すると旅人は「生命は神の決めるところで私にはなんともならぬ」と言うが、父親は額を地面に擦り付けて頼んだ。

旅人は「酒と干し肉を用意して、卯の日まで待っていなさい」と言う。

A young boy named Zhao Yan was churning wheat when he was told by a passing traveler that he would not live long.

The boy and his father chased the traveler on horseback and begged him to do something about it.

The traveler said, "Life is God's decision and I can't do anything about it," but his father rubbed his forehead on the ground and begged him.

The traveler told him to prepare some wine and dried meat and wait until the day of the Rabbit.
