平安時代の頃、京の都に大江山の酒吞童子が毎日のように現れて、子供を攫っていく事件が起こりました。

ある時、池田中納言の娘が消え、占ったところ、大江山の酒吞童子に攫われたと出ました。

中納言は天子様に訴え出て、酒吞童子の成敗をお願いしました。

天子様は誰か酒吞童子を討つものはないかと大臣に尋ねると、

大臣は「ならば、源頼光と四天王に限ります」と答え、天子様は早速、源頼光を呼び出しました。

During the Heian period (794-1185), there was an incident in the capital of Kyoto in which a child was kidnapped by the Shakudoko (a child of Mt. Oe) who appeared daily.

One day, Ikeda Chunagon's daughter disappeared, and her fortune was told that she had been kidnapped by the Shakubadoji of Mount Oe.

Nakanagon appealed to the Lord Tenko and asked him to defeat the Shakan-dappa-ji.

The Prince asked the Minister if there was anyone who could avenge the Shakubadojako.

The minister replied, "Then it must be Minamoto no Yorimitsu and the Four Heavenly Kings.
