官軍隊士の飯田は部下を連れて、勝沼の村から村にかけて、潜伏している幕府の兵を捜索していた。

夕方になって、森の影に小さな寺を見つけ、そこで一泊することにした。

その寺には、大きな色の白い僧と、女がいた。その女の顔に、飯田は見覚えがあった。

Iida, a government soldier, accompanied by his men, was searching from village to village in Katsunuma for hiding Shogunate soldiers.

In the evening, they found a small temple in the shadow of the forest and decided to spend the night there.

In the temple, there was a large, white monk and a woman. The woman's face was familiar to Iida.
