昭和9年、函館の大火は多くの犠牲者を出した。焼失家屋2.4万戸、死傷者3千人。

風速30メートルの烈風に煽られた猛火の中、市民は安全な場所を求めて逃げ回った。

特に激しかったのは、函館市の東南にある大森浜である。

ここには、多くの哀話と鬼魅悪い話が残っている。

In 1934, the Great Hakodate Fire claimed many victims. 24,000 houses were burned and 3,000 people were killed or injured.

In the midst of the fierce fire, which was fueled by gusty winds of 30 meters per hour, citizens fled for safety.

Particularly fierce was Omori beach in the southeast of Hakodate.

Many tales of woe and bad luck remain here.
